Blogging Is For Bloggers
Bloggers only preach to the choir. They don’t reach anyone whom they want to reach, only those already of the same opinion. This was already apparent to a degree before now and recent events have brought this point home, fully and unmistakably.
This particular blog has been devoted to exposing the nature and danger of Islam, along with various actions and courses of events of the U.S. and other nations which relate to or enhance this danger. There must be a thousand other blogs which do the same thing, attempting to spread awareness of this evil creed and its intentions toward the world.
Reading the comments left by others on these various blogs, I see the same names over and over again, including, of course, my own. I never see any that say: “I never knew about this. Thank you for bringing this to our attention” or some such. What I always see is agreement. “Yes, they are evil, this is bad”, etcetera.
Bloggers form cliques, and blogging about Islam is a clique. No one reads it except other bloggers who blog about the same things and form Blogrolls, which we join and post on our blogs. The more Blogrolls we join, the more our Technorati rating improves because our blog shows up on more websites, which is what Technorati ratings measure. This isn’t popularity, this isn’t a sign that we’re getting the word out, this is only a sign that we belong to a lot of cliques. The general public still doesn’t read what we say. Only we read what we say.
We give each other blogger awards and hold contests and put up polls. We post our little award emblems on our blogsites and bask in the recognition of others who think exactly the same as we do. Chances are pretty good that any given award is the creation of a single blogger who only does it to get recognition from other bloggers. We’re encouraged to go to that blog and vote for the blogs we most admire. It’s Catch 22. Everyone gets a share of nothing.
For those who enjoy making friends on the Internet, blogs are a great thing. It’s a way to share your insights with others of like mind, and it does take a certain amount of intelligence to set up and maintain a blog, and then keep posting articles that are original enough to bring people back repeatedly. Blogs are a great way to have meetings with other intelligent people who think as you do, and most of us have this need to converse with our peers.
It goes no further than that though, outside of the chance Internet friendship that develops into a closer relationship, meeting for lunch or whatever. This does sometimes happen but you still haven’t reached anyone outside your sphere of thought, if that was your original purpose.
It was my original purpose. As I said at the start of this, events have proven to me the futility of it. These events:
I have now witnessed repeated Primaries where the worst, most disliked of all the Republican candidates, the most Liberal, the most mentally unstable, the most likely of all of them to continue doing to us what George Bush has done, John McCain, has become the Republican candidate for President. This man is so hated by his own party that droves of Republicans have registered as Democrats or Independents. He will do nothing to stem the tide of Islamism in the United States.
Simultaneously I’ve witnessed the Democrats, with only two choices, voting predominantly for a racist with deep muslim connections, who belongs to an avowedly racist church, whose minister was himself a muslim and still avidly supports the most radical of muslims. A man whose own brother is a radical muslim, a man who, by actually going to Kenya and campaigning for him, openly supported a violent muslim who wants to trash their democracy and institute Islamic law, who has declared Islam to be “the only true religion.”
Bloggers all over the world, including me, have repeatedly exposed this man, Barack Hussein Obama, for the danger that he is. To no avail. No one listened, no one cares. It looks now that this closet muslim, this clear Afrocentric racist, this wolf in sheeps clothing, stands an excellent chance of becoming president of the United States.
Why? Because most people don’t care. They don’t want to be bothered with facts, they just want government to do what government should and otherwise for it to stay out of their lives as much as possible. They don’t want to get involved. They think that if a person makes it to the ballot, then that person must be qualified. They believe what politicians tell them and never investigate their past or supposed qualifications. They rely on their newspapers and televisions to tell them everything they need to know. They don’t have the energy to do the research for themselves after a long, tiring day at work, they just want to get a shower and have dinner, relax in front of the television for awhile, then go to bed. For the younger unattached crowd, they want to go out, be with their friends and have fun.
We bloggers are the exception. We are the few who care enough to do the research and spread the word, most of us solely out of concern for the future of our country and the well-being of all of us. No one listens to us except us.
There’s a reason why sheep and cattle go to the slaughter under their own power and never rebel. They’re too dumb to see the danger they’re walking right into, and you just can’t fix stupid.
I admire the efforts of all of us who’ve tried so hard and so sincerely. For that alone, I regret moving on, you’ve been a great clique. I might drop in from time to time and see how some of you are doing, but I’m outta here. While I do enjoy writing, I need to see my efforts bear fruit and that means getting the occasional “Oh, now I see” besides the comments of agreement and the tongue-lashings of muslims and Liberal freaks calling me a bigot. I’ve never gotten a single “Oh, I see” in two years of doing this. Time to accept reality.
This is my last post on this blog. Since I pay my server for a year in advance and just recently did so, I’ll probably come up with a new domain for them to host and see if I can get some of my money back with ads. An Elvis site should attract a lot of lookers, what do you think? Maybe a sensationalist tabloid with BS stories about Britney and Paris growing penises and so forth. That should get a lot of public attention.

Pah! Have you only just realised that?
You are probably 99% right but any national newspaper could as accurately make exactly the same comment, people do not buy newspapers at random and form their views by what they read; if they have a political viewpoint at all they buy the newspapers whose political views they already agree with.
The fact that any one blogger does not get the comments he thinks he should does not mean he has no impact, this is one of many voices and as such has an effect. Your blog is hardly a moderate voice but it is mostly a reasoned one and plays a part.
Five years ago in the UK nobody was prepared to make any comment about the profound negative effects of unskilled immigration from the third world or of this alien Islam in our midst for fear of being called racist, now look at the comments on online news items or even on TV, people are more and more prepared to speak out and insist that they too have some right to consideration of their culture.
Why? Partly because they are sick to death of the extreme abuse of our hospitality that too many of these hostile and useless people present and partly because of blogs like this one and other commenters in whatever medium who let them know that they not alone in their mostly justified concerns.
If this is not enough to suit your ego and persuade you to reconsider, what is so wrong with pandering to us handful of fans? This blog is hardly a moderate one but it is usually a well reasoned one and probably the one I read most. (Apart from my own of course)

Bah I repeated one sentence! I hate cut and paste.
February 22nd, 2008 at 2:09 pm
Cut and paste can be fatal and should never be left alone with children.
It has nothing to do with ego, Xoggoth. It has only to do with concern. If it was about ego do you think I’d be quitting? And as far as “just now realizing it”, I posted on this same issue a year ago and was talked into continuing on by my fellow clique members.
The reason people are waking up in Europe but aren’t here is because you’ve had 1000’s of cars burned and idiot muslims carrying signs saying that they intend to kill you. Stuff like that does finally get peoples attention. The blogs just react to public reaction, that’s all. You’ve had muslims rioting and killing over cartoons, for Christs sakes. We haven’t. They’ve been real quiet over here, which is why someone like Hussein can get votes. Tons of votes. Baaa-aaa-aaa.
Thanks, I appreciate it and I’m glad you’ve enjoyed my articles, but it just takes up too much of my day with no visible return after 2 years of it.
Maybe after my countrymen finally wake up, after the muslims start raping their daughters and putting up 100 foot minarets and broadcasting the call to prayer 5 times a day over loudspeakers and burning cars and demonstrating and creating no-go areas, all of which you are now enduring. Maybe then they’ll listen, but by then they’ll already know.

Rasta,
You and I have traveled down a few roads, and I regard you as a (virtual) friend.
A few months ago I veered away onto a new angle, basically because no decision made by The Powers That Be (TPTB), made any sense.
I reasoned that there must be another objective, another logic, that runs counter to our perception of reality.
I found it.(As you know)
I had been posting, heavily, on a particular blog, - not my own, I don’t have one, - (which you may have found).
I gave up for the same reason you are discouraged, - no debate, asinine responses, etc.
Now, I mostly keep my discoveries to myself (bookmarked of course), and I occasionally drop a few here, where relevant, since you do give a decent response.
I have to say that at a level, we are as controlled as the sheeple in the film, The Matrix.
I have mentioned the three global meetings/groups of people.
I have mentioned that the stock market busts of 2000, and the currently evolving bust, which is shaping up to be a monster, are all part of a game plan, as is your open borders, super highways, yada, yada, yada.
I have also mentioned the names of some of the major players.
This website may interest you

I’ll be sorry to see you close down.
Every thing has its time.
I have changed my focus to that of preservation.
Preservation of quality of life, family, etc, etc.
It will be difficult in the coming years, as TPTB become more powerful. It will involve geographic shifts.
I know you have seen comments about a post democratic high tech feudalism. This is part of “the plan” to control the sheeple.
Certain bloggers are intelligent enough to know that, but hide it with stupid blogs. They deserve to be attacked, - but I suffer fools less and less gladly as TPTB plans become ever more obvious. So I too withdraw. As you say, you can’t fix stupid.
Take care, Rasta.
Be true to yourself and family.
They are all you can trust.

Thanks, Jordon. You’re a good man. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you do.
I see that yesterday this site got 41 hits. On its very best day it got 110 but that was a long time ago. In order to be effective it should be getting 10,000 or more a day. THEN it would be reaching people.
As for me, I’ve been putting in as many fruit trees and vines and other food plants as I can pack on my lot. With 2 years more of decent growth, this place will provide enough food yearly for one person to survive on. The water table is so shallow that I can hand dig a well. I have no illusions about the durability of the local infrastructure.

Well, maybe 60% of the whole readers can be. But he rest of us make the difference, spreading the news (the posts) by mail, huh?

Ernesto, I keep telling you, you need to start another blog. You don’t have to do it on a Brazilian server, you can do it on a U.S. one with no more trouble than getting an email address on Hotmail.
Thanks very much for your kind words, but it’s like I said, my efforts aren’t going anywhere if, after all this time, my blog has less visitors a day than it did a year ago. I’m only reaching our little “in group” and not the world outside that I was aiming for.
Thanks again, Ernesto. You’re a good guy.

Rastaman, a lot of what you say is true. But you say we are not reaching anyone. This is NOT true. Going through my site meter I see several forums and other sites where people have come to Right Truth through Google or some other source, looking for information on Obama, Islam, and other topics. They go back and post this, but even more important they email the links or copy the information into an email, to everybody they know, who then email that to folks they know.
The word is spreading and we do have an itty bitty part in it. If we reach just one or two people, is it not worth it?
Also, you cannot go by comments. It is true that friends comment on friends blogs. But many people read and NEVER comment. I know this, because some of them email me telling me so. They give a comment now and then via email, but don’t want their comments public.
Don’t give up, you are to good at this. But if you do stop blogging, please keep in touch via email or some other way.

Paladin, that’s mighty fine of you but I already live up north, I’m in Washington, near Longview, near rivers and lakes and surrounded by woods. I do appreciate everyones kind words but the plain fact is that I’m not doing any good. My hits are down to about 40 or so a day now and steadily decreasing. If I’m to be effective I should be getting 5000 or 10,000 hits a day.
Consider: There really must be AT LEAST 1000 bloggers saying what I’m saying. Yet Obama is getting landslide votes because people like his oratory and his South Park smile. We’re not being listened to, or even if we are by a few, it’s far, far from being enough. I’m tired of wasting my time on this.
So instead I’m going to waste my time on a new blog. www.NewsBleat.com
All the latest herd news that’s fit to baa. Coming soon to your local browser. It’s time to get out of all this depressing crap and give my sense of humor some free rein.
my email address here is still valid, westerner at islamanazi dot com, and I’ll have a new one for the new blog.
February 23rd, 2008 at 10:56 am
Ha! another bollox blog eh? I have noticed on your occasional comments on mine you do have a considerable talent for twaddle, while my capacity, due to one thing and another in my life, is at a low ebb at mo. If you outtwaddle me, never mind the Muslims, I may have to come and kill you myself.
February 23rd, 2008 at 11:06 pm
I certainly wish you would. I could use the entertainment.

Dang dude..I feel exactly the way u do ……………nearly every day but know theres a task to be done………………I will not go down without a fight my friend!

You have made a difference whether ya like it or not..so there!
even if u didnt disseminate new info..which no doubt u did, at times..you offered solace and laughs and probably prevented a nervous breakdown or two..ha
RECONSIDER…I’ll take ya back even if ya leave k?..lol

I haven’t left. I’ve started a new blog that’s a lot more pertinent.
The problem, Angel, isn’t Islam. The problem is the lack of concern about Islam and all the rest of what we all should be jumping up and dealing with but aren’t.
The problem is Herd Instinct. The great majority of us act like sheep and figure that the more of us there are, the less risk of the wolf ripping out MY throat instead of yours.
My new blog goes after this apathy. Same me, different blog, more appropriate target, the root cause of our predicament.

I believe we have arrived at the point now where words are no longer an effective means of halting our downward slide…
When reason fails…force prevails!
In any event good luck

Dear Rastaman,
Thanks for continuing blogging. I have been following you and somehow we stand with you. People are selfish in nature and are only concerned with thier comforts. Very few feel passionately and even less will do something about it. You are one of them and I look forward to following your new blog.
Don’t give up. There are still people like me who are enlightened by reading from your articles. I wish people will be more matured to know what we think Islam will do to the country and the world at large.
February 25th, 2008 at 9:54 pm
Thank you very much, Veena. I haven’t given up, I’ve just changed direction, trying to set off the old alarm clock, and any subject will do. The problem here is I feel too confined by specializing. The new blog has a new theme: Wake Up! And anything that I can use is fair game.
I still think blogging is for bloggers, but there are blogs that get attention on sites such as Google and Yahoo and with any luck this new one won’t be censored out. My goal here is to have it referenced once, just once, when you click on “News” without entering a search term.
The bandwith sucked up from that will probably cost me a fortune but it will be worth it.
It’s www.NewsBleat.com for those who care to look.
