The Mexican-American War?
A U.S. Border Patrol officer has encountered four heavily armed Mexican army soldiers on the U.S. side of the border near San Diego.
The soldiers, armed with three submachine guns and one M-16 rifle, crossed the border near Tecate, Mexico, while on a counter-drug mission, Border Patrol spokesman James Jacques said.
One of the Mexicans brandished a pistol at the Patrol officer, who drew his own weapon in response. The Mexicans then identified themselves, claimed ignorance of being on our soil, and were eventually processed and sent back to Mexico peacefully. It could have been otherwise.
SAN DIEGO - The Border Patrol says its agents were attacked nearly 1,000 times during a one-year period along the Mexican border, typically by assailants hurling rocks, bottles and bricks. Now the agency is responding with tear gas and powerful, pepper-spray weapons, including firing into Mexico.
The Patrol’s top official in San Diego, Mike Fisher, said his agents are taking action because Mexican authorities either respond hours later or never when an attack occurs. “We have been taking steps to ensure that our agents are safe,” Fisher said.
These steps are upsetting the Mexican government, which thinks that our agents using aerosols to protect themselves from attacks by Mexicans is a violation of Mexican sovereignty. How’s that for a laugh? Mexico’s acting consul general in San Diego, Ricardo Pineda, has insisted that U.S. authorities stop firing onto Mexican soil but our people defended their actions and continue to fire back at the rock and bottle throwers. As they should, saying that agents were being hit with a hail of ball bearings from slingshots in Mexico.
Many of these attacks are diversions to distract the attention of the Patrol long enough for drug smugglers to sneak across.
Bush’s NAFTA plans and his directives to stifle our Border Patrols effectiveness is having its effect. “The Border Patrol lives in constant fear of pleasing the consulate general of Mexico,” one agent said. “It’s one of the things that’s most mystifying to line agents” because the U.S. is one of the most powerful countries in the world but appears to be more interested in accommodating Mexico City.
Confrontations with Mexican military have become so routine the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has issued written orders that agents carry with them regarding “what to do” if confronted by Mexican military units, many of which are in the employ of Mexico’s powerful drug cartels. According to the “Military Incursion” cards, agents are to hide from Mexican military operating in their areas, ON OUR SOIL, rather than engage in contact!!!
“We talk about cooperation with the Mexican government,” the agent continued, “but most of them seem to be on the take. The [Bush] administration, the DHS, they are very hushed about this.”
Of course they are. Bush would be a lot happier if the Border Patrol were totally disbanded and our gates flung wide open so the Mexicans and their criminals and their drugs can flood our country. Anything so he can push us over the brink into a North American Commonwealth with no borders at all, with a Central Government made up of members of all three nations, and our Constitution and our liberties no longer valid and protected.

Your blog is wonderful one. I will try to come by more often, and apologize that I haven’t been visiting in a while. A lot has been going on in my life. We are expecting a little girl in May, I got in trouble for blogging at work, and I run a one man shop now. I’m studying for promotion, and trying to spend a little time with family. It leaves little time. Barely time to blog, and even less to visit other blogs. I’ll try to come by more often though.
As for crediting you for what you say was your research, you will have to take that up with Cao. She wrote the article that you are questioning, and I am pretty sure she didn’t mean to do anything wrong if she did.
If you have important stuff you would like to get credit for, email me a link and tip me. I’ll try to post about it and give credit.

Thanks for the visit, Jay. I sent you an email on all this. But just in case, no, not accusing Cao of plagiarism. Only that all the research she presented was what I’d done, and a lot more, and I’ve seen my stuff re-written on a couple sites with no hat tip. When I saw hers I got ticked but I don’t think she copied off of me.
Congrats on your pending new daughter. You only THINK you’re busy now. Ho ho. Just wait.
