What Are We Fighting?
Just a little reminder of the nature of the enemy before we lose track because of the election clamor…
Tensions rise between Shiites, al-Sadr

“BAGHDAD — A police raid Saturday on an extremist Shiite Muslim mosque thought to be the headquarters of an extremist cult capped a weekend of violence in Southern Iraq, while elsewhere tensions between Iraq’s Shiite-led government and renegade Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr continued to escalate.”
This is muslims murdering muslims for disagreeing over who Muhammads heir was, after he died. … Officials later said the group intended to kill religious clerics and other noteworthy people who were among the thousands of pilgrims … three suicide bombers attacked a police checkpoint in Ramadi, killing six police and injuring 13 in the predominantly Sunni city … Nearly 100 people were killed, including 80 cult members, another 112 were reported injured … identified the attackers as the Shiite cultist group Jund al-Samaa, or Soldiers of Heaven … the deaths of more than 350 cult members after a shootout with U.S. and Iraq security …
This is Iraq, any time of the year. This is what we’re fighting, we’re fighting and killing muslims to get muslims to stop fighting and killing each other. In fact, our soldiers say that they’re not soldiering, they’re stuck in the role of policing, trying to keep these people from murdering each other. It’s not really that those people hate the “Great Satan” so much. It’s that they hate pretty much everyone equally and we happen to be there.
If we can “capture” Iraq, that is, pacify and dominate it economically and militarily, and have permanent bases there, we will have a huge strategic advantage in the coming battle over Middle East oil. Make no mistake either, there will be a huge military conflict over that oil. Israel is the tinder that will spark it off, the excuse that will be given for the battles to rage.
At home, these same murderous Islamic types are filtering in, steadily gaining a greater foothold over time, forming “charities” that send our dollars to Al Qaeda and other terror groups, forming subversive organizations like CAIR, the Council American-Islamic Relations, that seek to wreck our legal freedoms, and forming terror cell groups planning attacks when the time is right. Here, the fight is undertaken by the FBI and Homeland Security and we don’t hear much of it unless some terrorist is caught and convicted. Our government doesn’t want us to become alarmed, which we sure as Hell would be if they told us all that’s going on and how much danger we’re really in.
We are fighing Islam. We aren’t fighting Shiites or Sunnites. We’re fighting muslims only as a symptom. Muslims are like the scabs that form in a severe case of exzema. It’s the exzema that, while not curable, has to be controlled and this means taking power away from the sources of it. That power is money that comes from oil. Without it, the disease will wither and fade into remission.
The past clumsiness of the war in Iraq and the foot-dragging recalcitrance of the Administration here at home in this battle are undeniable but also beside the point. The point is to always keep in mind the nature of the enemy, which is a virulent hatred of life and a love of death. The Religion of Peace refers only to the peace of the grave. Don’t ever forget that.
