Groovin’ To The Beat
Russia has just opted out of the arms control treaty with Europe, the Conventional Forces in Europe Treaty, considered to be a major element of European security. This treaty was adopted in 1990 by NATO and the Soviet Union to set limits on conventional weapons such as tanks and aircraft, and now Russia is free to expand on this in secrecy, and will no longer reveal the size, quantity and capabilities of their hardware inventory. One more step backwards to the Cold War.
The U.S. is incorporating more flexibility into its nuclear weapons strategic plan, including expanding the list of potential target countries. Obtaining information through the Freedom of Information Act, the author of this article received redacted files saying that Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea and Syria had been added to the nuclear target list by 2001. There has been a further revision in 2004 that as yet has not been released, but it’s likely that Iraq is off the list. Any new additions are unknown at this time.
The list is growing larger as more countries gain nuclear weapons and display aggression.
Iran’s President Ahmedinejad has announed that the country now has 3,000 centrifuges to enrich uranium, which Western experts say could make enough fuel within a year to make an atomic bomb.
And the beat goes on.
Right Truth has an excellent article written by a Marine who was there on the ushering in of the Atomic Age that started with the dropping of A-bombs on Japan, ending WWII, and which is directly appropriate to what’s happening now. If you want some good insight on how the past and the present connect, you should read it.

One wonders if a list of “potential target” countries is, on all sides, merely propoganda.
Being a bit more logical, the real threat from any country is less to do with their friendliness or otherwise, since that can change so very quickly but more with their military/nuclear potential. If the US administration has not secretly targetted some of their allies they must be barking.

Be assured that they have, Xoggoth. There are plans for every contingency. Those people stay up late figuring the possibilities.
