I totally agree. It may be their country but the Olympics belongs to the world. To tell the athletes that they can’t have anything with them that represents their religion is beyond stupid. If they enforce this, many of the athletes will back out of the games and there will be a movement to relocate as much of the games as possible, out of China, if not cancel them altogether.

Islam isn’t the only threat we face. China is out to destroy us economically and gets more arrogant and threatening as their share of U.S. debt grows. We’re going to have to draw a line in the sand, and soon. The 2008 Olympics would be as good a place to start as any.

Everybody remember Hazelton, Pennsylvania and their laws against illegals, and the subsequent attack on that city by the ACLU? Last year, Mayor Barletta pushed through a law that targeted landlords who rented to illegal immigrants and businesses that employed them in this city of 30,000. The law, emulated by dozens of towns around the nation, was struck down by a federal judge as unconstitutional. The judge said states and municipalities cannot regulate immigration. The city has since appealed.

Hazelton just had a mayoral election and Barletta was re-elected mayor on his continuing anti-illegal immigrant platform, winning with 90% of the votes! I sure hope that gives our numbnut bozos in Congress the clue, finally.
