BERLIN – A top German journalist aims to foster understanding between Muslims and Christians by using a German Islamic centre for readings of Salman Rushdie’s ‘The Satanic Verses’. His aim is off as the German muslims have refused his request. Wallraff, 65, has been denounced on radical Islamist websites for his proposal. He now only leaves home in disguise and with a police escort; an experience not unfamiliar to the man whose book he defends. Wallraff is undeterred and says he will seek backing for his plan in Muslim Turkey.

He’s fostering understanding alright. The harder he tries to do this, the more Christians will understand just how hate-filled muslims really are. This is one case where I can appreciate foolishness as being useful. If he tries this in Turkey he won’t be coming back and that should wake up a lot of Germans.

All the London bombings back in July of ‘05 pretty well convinced the average Britisher that Islam is a violent credo, which it is. The result has been a sharp rise in anti-Islam feeling which the sycophants, whiners, Lefties and muslims claim is simply “Islamophobia”, the new spindoctor buzzword aimed at instilling feelings of guilt in those who see the truth of it.

So now a bunch of muslims have formed the “Islam is Peace” group which is busily buying ad space on the sides of busses and Tube trains with pictures of a policewoman, a Scout group and the chef Michael Barry – with the slogan “Proud to be a British Muslim”.

Rather than express outrage, I see this as a good thing since it’s a reflection of concern on the part of the muslims over the new awareness of Britons. The more they advertise, the more it’s going to piss off the Brits. “Proud to be a muslim”. After all the bombings and deaths and terror and marches wearing ski masks and carrying signs saying “we will dominate you”. Yep, the Brits patience is finally wearing thin.

This campaign was launched just as a bizarre new law banning incitement to religious hatred comes into force. The new law criminalizes Free Speech, making it illegal to express anger toward or hatred of Islam. Supposedly this means muslims can’t speak against Christians, Jews, Sikhs, ectcetera, too, but how much do you want to bet that part won’t be enforced?

The Sunday Times has reported that there was a daring Israeli commando raid on Sept. 6th at Dir a-Zour in which they obtained samples of North Korean nuclear material. An air attack on buildings housing nuclear research facilities was then carried out in which “a number of North Koreans were believed dead in the strike.” This is why there was an immediated conference in N. Korea between them and the Syrians, as I suggested in a previous post.

Did anyone really think that Kim Jong Il would stop making A-bombs? He simply moved the operation to Syria and carried on. This is good for us, as our attacking N. Korea was nixed by the South Koreans, who would bear the brunt of vicious retaliation. Now the Israelis, who are still in a declared war with Syria, can attack at will anytime the Syrians and N. Koreans try to build more atomic weapons and the South Koreans are safe.

There is no way that the Israelis are going to allow any Islamic enemy to possess nukes. It would be fatal for them.
