Critiquing The Movies And Betting On The Pigs
The Brave One with Jodie Foster is about a woman who becomes a vigilante. The reviews say this flick goes in the face of Hollywood PC-ness by promoting vigilantism. I certainly hope so. Some of our best modern heroes were vigilantes. Anyone recall that guy who took a gun with him on the New York subway and shot up a gang of thugs, and was found Not Guilty? Sure you do. Remember the Charles Bronson “Death Wish” movies? Vigilantism at its best.
We love people who stand up for themselves when the cops won’t act, and kill off the bad guys. The Batman movies were vigilantism, Superman is a cartoon vigilante along with lots of others. The only cop movies that ever made it big were the Dirty Harry series, and that was because Dirty Harry was a vigilante cop.
Vigilantism is on the rise. Subtly. Hackers have been counter-attacking muslim websites and Iranian institutions since at least last April. Remember the muslims who wanted to build a mosque next to a Texas pig farmer and told the farmer he had to get rid of his pigs? Well, that pig farmer is now the proud owner of American Pig Races and holds heavily attended races every Friday, muslim holy day, at his property line next to the muslims. It’s a big deal in that part of Texas and you can even become a sponsor with a pig named after you. Check it out. Buy a tee shirt.
Americans don’t take continued offense from our own kind very well and when the police don’t or won’t act, we do. THEN the police either come after us or look the other way. It all depends. But when foreigners come here and start trying to push us around, we’re a lot less tolerant.
Muslims in America don’t know what terror is. They might be finding out, though.

I saw the previews to Jodie Foster’s movie and it looked good. I loved the Charles Bronson movies. I saw Jodie Foster on The Daily Show, and she made some stupid comment that, “Guns should not be allowed in the hands of humans.” or some such nonsense. But she went on to say that she had shot guns before she made the movie.
I’m always prepared. I had a scary situation this past week with a new handyman that showed up at the house so drunk he could hardly walk, couldn’t talk more than two words at a time. I told him never mind, I didn’t need his services. He started calling me repeatedly after he got back home, cussing me out. I was concerned. But I had my handgun with me and my cellphone, hubby was working 24 hours at the hospital.
I was prepared to file a complaint with the sheriff and I was prepared to shoot him if he came back over here and tried anything.

Atta girl! That’s exactly the stuff I’m talking about. Most of us are willing to take action when push comes to shove and a good many of us are armed. As far as I’m concerned, that’s the American way.
That repeated calling constitutes stalking. He can be prosecuted for that. You may already know that but just in case…

Yep Rastaman, I know that about the repeated calls. But so far nothing else from him. I guess he got it out of his system. But we all need to be prepared. Even if you have weapons, they don’t do you any good locked up in a gun safe when the bear is at the door, or already inside.
