Turkey In The Straw, Hey Hey Hey
The world seems unconcerned about the increased massing of troops, now at more than 200,000, more than all the combined Allied troops in Iraq, at the Turkey/Iraq border.
The declared purpose of their increasing presence is to sweep away the PKK, the socialist Kurdish Workers Party. The plan is that the army will storm northern Iraq and break down the bases from which the Kurdish PKK fighters launch their attacks into Turkey.
So they say. Over 200,000 troops and growing, is quite the little invasion force and certainly far more than it would take to bowl over all of Kurdestan and wipe out all the Kurds, not just the Communist ones. The Turks do hate the Kurds with a vengeance, and does anyone think that our troops would be able to stop doing what they’re doing and go push the Turks back out?
The Iranians still have troops massed along their border with Iraq, right next to Turkey, and the Turks and Iranians are pretty cosy these days.
Iraq’s Al Maliki and Turkey have reached an agreement that the PKK must be eliminated. Al Maliki is Shiite and Shiites hate Kurds. Hmmm….
And of course there’s always the oil: “War clouds are gathering in the Middle East, with Kirkuk (Iraqi Kurdestans main city) as the detonator for war between Turkey and the United States.
Within Iraq, preparations are underway to change Kirkuk’s political status via a referendum that would shift the regional balance of power against Turkey. The referendum would disintegrate Iraq’s borders by bringing Kirkuk and 40 percent of Iraq’s oil reserves under Kurdish/PKK jurisdiction. Turkey will never accept a Kirkuk referendum.”
Turkey wants all of Kurdestan for the oil, to wipe out the Kurds entirely and to prevent the existence, ever, of a separate Kurdish state and there is an ongoing process RIGHT NOW between the U.S. and the Kurds to establish a separate Kurdish state.
Because of this looming conflict, Lt Gen. Lute, Bush’s top military appointee is now speaking about reinstating the draft.
I posted on this earlier with the thought that it may be the Turks who fire off the next general Middle East war. I still think so and now so do quite a few others. They’re just not making a public issue of it. Yet.

This has been a long time building up. The Shiite militias have had a hand in stirring up the trouble on the border. We should be very worried about Turkey and the Kurds.
On the draft being reinstated here in the US. I have heard rumblings, but it would be difficult to get that approved.

Great Britain plan would move toward ‘religion of state’
A new government study is being condemned by the Christian ministry the Barnabas Fund because its proposals would move closer to imposing Islam in the United Kingdom as “a religion of state.”
Among the proposals from the study being considered for implementation is the provision by universities for Islamic studies for all students.
The report was initiated by Bill Rammell, the minister of state for higher education and lifelong learning, officials said. He appointed Ataullah Siddiqui, senior research fellow at the Islamic Foundation, to write it.
The Barnabas Fund, in an analysis, said the report “signals another step toward the Islamisation of Britain and its education system”

Deeply worrying if true ER. Trouble is, it probably is. What the UK government does is so totally out of keeping with any concept of Britain as a nation I no longer dismiss anything as unfounded. If it is contrary to the wishes of the indigenous British it is probably true. We are being DESTROYED.
Another good anaysis Rastaman. Don’t always agree with you but this rings true. I suspect that the Turks know their EU bid will not get anywhere fast in the near future and their economy is improving without the EU so they may feel their is nothing to lose by tackling this Kurdish problem. Judging from the Kurdish gangs in London, not entirely sure I blame them. Unfortunately true that whenever you have a possibly just cause that is furthered by crime and violence, sooner or later the crime and violence become ends in themselves.

I think I speak up for everyone with two brain cells to rub together when I say this website is nothing short of disgusting.

It’s rather pathetic that you people have so little going on in your meaningless lives that you resort to spiting religious beliefs to add a little spice.

Since everything in “muslim” is inverted, (like their version of truth, etc, of history, or really, quite anything.), it follows that their contempt must also be inverted.
Therefor, anyone they state to be beneath their contempt, must actually be of a far superior standing than they.
Now THAT matches with actuality!
