From the Aww CRAP! Dept. ……..
Remember those F-14 fighter jet parts? The ones no one but the Iranians use any more? The ones we were going to destroy so the Iranians couldn’t get their hands on and repair and fly their F-14 jet fighters?
Well, guess what? Yeah, that’s right. The parts were sold to the Iranians.
“By mistake, (???????) the Pentagon sold 1,400 pieces of F-14 fighter jet parts to the public even after it announced such sale will be suspended, a U.S. government watchdog said on Wednesday.” Suspended??? NO! The parts were supposed to be DESTROYED!!! Instead they were sold and the guy who bought them is a Malaysian. Read muslim.
The accused exporter, Jilani Humayun, was arrested Thursday at his Lynbrook home. He was charged with 11 counts of violating the Arms Export Control Act, one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. The charges carry up to 150 years in prison upon conviction.
“The details of the crime with which Jilani Humayun is charged are particularly disturbing, as he is alleged to have knowingly shipped technology as dangerous as F-5 and F-14 parts to Malaysia without any regard for the ultimate destination,” U.S. Attorney Michael J. Garcia said, referring to two powerful fighter jets. He said it is well documented in public reports that a major customer for F-14 parts is the Iranian Air Force.”
Ok, the guy who sold this stuff over in Malaysia knew that it would go to the Iranians and is being prosecuted for it. So when do we prosecute the traitors who sold it to him???
In January this year, the Assoc. Press published a report that buyers for Iran, China and other countries had exploited gaps in surplus-sale security to acquire sensitive U.S. military gear, including F-14 parts.
Following the report, the Pentagon not only imposed a ban on selling surplus F-14 parts, but it also barred previous U.S. buyers of surplus F-14 parts from exporting them to third parties.
Nothing like locking the barn after the horses have all run away. All those who “had exploited gaps in surplus-sale security to acquire sensitive U.S. military gear” should be imprisoned for treason. It matters not that there was a legal loophole that they took advantage of, they did so as an act of sabotage against the United States and should be shot.
We really need to re-institute firing squads.

Oh, drat. I hate reading news like this. Our government may as well shoot themselves in the foot, both of them. That’s about how bright they come across sometimes. Arrghhh!

Lets hope that someone has screwed with the parts.
They work ok on the test bench, but under pressure in action, they fail

Hey jordon, get your thoughts together, dumb cluck.
Since Iran is the only military still using f14s, I would say that alone is prima facie evidence of criminal activity on the part of the US Dept involved.
