Slavery: The Fruits Of Globalism
Chinese officials raided Hongtong Shanxi, an area of Northern China and rescued almost 500 workers from slavery type conditions. The workers were forced to work in brick kilns, iron mines and coalmines. Some 29 of the workers were children and some were mentally disabled.
If slavery seemed to be abolished in civilized countries long ago, it’s back – in many European countries, and should be stopped somehow, Members of the European Parliament said.
Muttontown, NY couple Varsha Sabhnani and her husband Mahender Sabhnani have been in custody since their arrest last month on charges of keeping two Indonesian women as slaves in their home.
The United States accused its Arab allies Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar Tuesday of being among the world’s worst offenders in failing to prevent people from being sold into the sex trade and servitude. Algeria, Equatorial Guinea and Malaysia, Cuba, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Uzbekistan and Venezuela are also on the list.
Slavery has become rampant all over the world. Globalism means global price competition instead of local or national the way it used to be, and this means getting the cheapest labor possible. Slavery is the inevitable result.
We keep hearing that all those illegals pouring over our wide open, gaping border with Mexico are doing jobs Americans won’t do, and then we hear that we need to make Americans out of them. Would they still do those jobs then, or would we maybe need millions more to replace the ones we made Americans out of?
The reason Americans won’t do those jobs is because Americans can’t and won’t work for $2 an hour. If the employers had to pay decent wages and were imprisoned for hiring illegals, all the illegals would go home because Americans would gladly take the jobs.
Our administration is promoting slavery. At the minimal wages paid these illegals, who must then pay back their “coyote” as well as pay their employer for food and other needs, this is literally servitude. Slavery. Bush has held off closing the borders, adding more guards, enforcing Federal laws against these illegals and those who hire them because he’s on the side of the global corporations instead of America. This puts him on the same side as the coyotes and slave traders in all those other countries that the United States is pointing its finger at. Then he tells us what wonderful citizens these wretched criminals will make.
What hypocrisy!
Recently, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has nabbed about 10,000 child sex offenders, with 86 percent of those arrested found to be non-citizens. They commit all the other crimes of violence as well. Of course. How would YOU react to a life of slavery, working your butt off while the gringos get fat off your labor? Besides, they’re all criminals by law anyway.
These are the fruits of globalism. Unscreened criminals, murderers, child molesters, rapists, pouring in over our borders along with the ignorant and poor whose own country leaves them to starve. Chinese brought into the US in the holds of ships, in cargo containers, sometimes alive, sometimes dead. Mexicans suffocated by the hundreds in the backs of truck trailers left in the desert heat. Chinese children in China abducted into servitude, slavery booming in Arab countries, in Africa, all over Europe. Crime rates rising, economies in crisis, diseases spreading and becoming more virulent, human misery escalating.
Only the corporations profit from globalism. All the rest of us suffer from it. Don’t let those cheap prices at Walmart fool you. You’re paying dearly for all those cheap products. You just haven’t figured it out yet.

I always thought we had much the worst of it in Europe with so many African migrants.
I do not know if it was fully representative, but watched a program on Mexico last night, one of those trendy arty things where we were supposed to think, wow! what a wonderful spiritual people! what a rich culture! how marvellous they have retained so many of their ancient traditions in the philistine modern world!
All I could think, watching superstition, magic rituals where they sacrificed chickens, an obsession with death and violence that saw magazines with explicit scenes of carnage being sold on very street corner was “What a pity that Cortez did not do a better job” You might have have had civilised neighbours.
My commiserations to all US citizens.
