Memorial Weekend Event
This is the Memorial Day weekend. A lot of people are using it as a needed spring vacation, to get away from the job and go camping or sightseeing or party it up with relatives, friends, neighbors. Some of us spend at least part of it remembering our war dead and celebrating their courage and their sacrifice.
These people used this period of remembrance to push an agenda no one wanted…An Australian-born gay rights activist has alleged Moscow police stood by and watched while he was beaten by neo-nazis at a gay pride march in Moscow.
Peter Tatchell, 55, was in Moscow on Sunday for the city’s second ever Gay Pride march but he said before the event started, the 30-to-40 protesters were set upon by up to 200 people who beat them while hundreds of Moscow police stood by and watched.
“Russian orthodox fundamentalists together with right-wing nationalists and neo-nazis attacked the Gay Pride marchers as we assembled outside City Hall,” Mr Tatchell said.
“The Moscow police gave them a free hand to assault us at will. “They (the attackers) roamed amongst the crowd bashing people left, right and centre. The Moscow police stood by and did nothing.”
Mr Tatchell said the protesters were “totally overwhelmed” by their attackers, who went on bashing them for about 45 minutes.
“It was terrifying,” he said. (Whining).
“We were all in great fear of our personal safety.” (He whined.)
He said he and other protesters tried to flee, as he unfurled a banner reading “Gay Rights” in Russian and English.
“The right-wing gangs set on me, punching me in the eye, they dragged me to the ground where I was kicked and punched. (Whine)
“The police were standing nearby and did nothing, eventually they moved in, I was arrested while my attackers were allowed to go free.” (Whine, whine)
He alleged police threatened and abused him, before he was sent to hospital and then the police station, where he was questioned and released, again being assaulted outside by “far-right extremists”.
He said he was now nursing a badly bruised, swollen and bloodied eye and was bruised all over his body from where he was punched and kicked.
He said police arrested up to 20 Gay Pride marchers, including march organiser Nikolai Alekseev and German Green Party MP Volker Beck, without giving reason, but only a handful of their attackers were arrested.
He said for the second year in a row, Moscow mayor Yuri Lushkov had banned the Gay Pride march.”
Well, I quess homosexual Australians don’t concern themselves with honoring war dead, since they aren’t welcome in the barracks anyway. What better to do on the long weekend than go to Russia and try to shove homosexuality down the unwilling throats of the straight, non-sexually-deviant citizens who want nothing to do with it.
In the article, this fool mentions that this is his second attempt at this. Well, this time they were ready for him and his buttock-jiggling crew. A third attempt next year will result in broken bones and worse, with any luck.
Will someone please explain to me why anyone would want to go to Russia, of all places, a foreign nation, a sovereign nation, an aggressive people, an insular people, to wag their asses in these peoples faces? Deliberately inviting attack? How clear do the Russians have to make it that they don’t want rampant homosexuality and all its attendant problems, like AIDS, making their lives worse than they already are?
This was terrific publicity for Australia. I bet all the straight people in Australia are just thrilled to freaking death over this and Tatchell and friends may get a second welcome when they step off the plane at home. I hope they have their medical insurance paid up.
Normal people do things on Memorial Day like honor war dead or gather donations for the local hospital, or pitch in to build housing for the poor and elderly. These homosexuals go ass-wagging in Russia, flaunting their sexual preference, and then wonder why they arouse disgust in people.

They didn’t beat them hard enough.
Anal retentive? That’s easy to solve.
Since the parade was banned the law was clearly broken. 2 months in a siberian gulag would shrink their assets.

I’m with Jordon, the thing that jumped out at me was the parade was BANNED, no permission to march … Siberia would put some frost bite on their wagging (and whining) read ends.
Having said that, these parades to make for some good laughs, the images are outrageous.

Maybe the cops were from this unit?

“Special forces know no mercy and never ask for it. That is how it was, how it is and how it will be.”
As an aside, I have quite some sneaking respect for peter thatchell. He may have a lot wrong with him but one thing he does have is balls. He genuinely tried to do a “Citizens arrest” on robert mugabe when he came over here one time. He has to get some sort of respect for that, right? (He got the snot beaten out of him by mugabe’s BIG bodyguards)
He got arrested for it – the bodyguards didnt but he did – and yet two years later he did the same things. Ha!
