Immigration and the Energy Crisis

Immigration’s Impact on U.S. Energy Usage

Donald F. Anthrop

  • Increased population, not increased consumption, is almost entirely responsible for the one-third increase in U.S. energy usage since 1973.
  • Immigration is the cause of 40 percent of U.S. population growth in the last quarter century and has been directly responsible for one-third of the increase in energy usage during that period.
  • Residential energy use has increased by 34 percent since 1973. Almost that entire increase was due to population growth.
  • Read that again: Immigration has been directly responsible for 34 percent of the increase in energy usage in the U.S. in the last quarter century. And this percentage is increasing as the number of illegal invaders of our sovereign nation increases.

A hat tip to Debbie at Right Truth for passing on to me the question of whether the influx of illegals has cost us at the pump. It has!

The reason we’re being given for the dramatic increase in fuel prices is not a lack of oil. It’s the inability of the refineries to keep up with the demand. Gasoline is affected by supply and demand the same as any other product, and the huge number of illegals in this country has caused this shortage for us non-criminals. Bear in mind that about 10 million of these crapheads were granted amnesty already, then add in what our government says is another 12 million that is actually closer to 20 million or more, and then figure that our border is still wide open and the crapheads will still be flooding over for a couple years yet. Now add to that the number who will flood in if this latest criminal horde gets amnesty. Another 30 million! You think gas prices are high now? Brothers and sisters, you ain’t seen nothing yet!

This is not Mexico and we owe the Mexicans zero, nada, nothing! Yet the Mexican president said last October that we should create better jobs in Mexico for the Mexicans if we want them to stay there. WHAT? Excuse me? I think that’s HIS job, not ours. This enabler of crapheads went on to compare the pending 700-mile border fence to the Berlin Wall! Will someone please slap the living Hell out of this arrogant fool?

And while we’re at it, There are approximately 240,000 ILLEGAL ALIEN SEX OFFENDERS in the United States!!!

NO AMNESTY! KICK THE CRIMINAL GAS-GUZZLING BASTARDS OUT!

A security analyst told British MPs yesterday that Iran was conducting reconnaissance of European cities and nuclear power stations.

Claude Moniquet, the president of the European Strategic Intelligence and Security Centre, a Right-wing Brussels think-tank, told a meeting at Parliament that Iran appeared to be preparing to target “British citizens on the streets of London… just as they kill British soldiers in the south of Iraq”.

You can bet they’re doing recon in the US of A too

Time to nuke the bastards, without mercy.

    4. Rastaman Says:

Jordon, you do come up with some goodies.

There’s volumes that can be deduced from that. For starters, reconnaissance is time-stamped. It goes stale quickly. So it makes sense not to do it until shortly before an attack. Additionally, obviously the Iranian spies are known to European Intelligence and are therefor being watched, and the spies surely know they’re being watched because of the release of information such as this. So this reconnaissance would not be being conducted unless an attack was either imminent or it is a deliberate warning in response to the American fleet currently conducting exersizes in the Straits of Hormuz off Iran.

So we have two options here. The US is preparing to attack and Iran is preparing a counter-attack, or both sides are rattling sabers.

I think the latter. Iran wants to complete its bomb-making efforts and build some nukes. Whether Bush wants to attack Iran or not is an unknown. He never does what he says he’s going to do and he always lies about his intentions, but I don’t think attacking Iran preemptively is part of his plans unless it would boost oil company profits. It would certainly boost crude prices into the stratosphere but they’re there already anyway.

    5. Debbie Says:

Great job. Most people never think about illegals and oil/gas and the cost to the rest of us. Would the illegals be using the same amounts of gas if they were in Mexico? Probably not.

I heard the next argument against a fence this morning. The environment. The nuts are saying if we build a fence, all the wildlife that uses the Rio Grande would be cut off from the water and related ecosystems. Also local Americans would be cut off from the water. That fence will NEVER be built.

    6. Right Truth Says:

      Illegal aliens and gas…

What would the impact on gas prices in the United States be if we did not have 12 – 20 million illegals here, plus their families? My friend has the article and you should go read it at his place:…

    10. Jordon Says:

      Thanks, Rasta.
I don’t believe Iran has to neccessarily build nukes, although its would be a propaganda coup.
I was thinking Iran would try a radiological, or a dirty-bomb attack, probably in a major city/public event. No weapons grade uranium needed for that.
Radioactive dust spread in londons underground. The air-flows there are vast.
State financed terrorism is Irans trade mark, and if they can figure out a way to beat the cctv systems (easy for professionals) no guilty party would be discernable.
A relatively few active terrorists can tie the hands of hundreds of “watchers”, and clog-up their systems, not to mention the havoc created, and denial of access to affected territories, public panic, etc

Jordon, it can be good news, to the end:

All over the globe it’s muzzy vs muzzy, or muzzy vs anybody.

Well, the mad dogs are losing the war against mankind.

In both scenarios, they lose. Of course, I prefer the sectarian civil war. But not among muslims in the West countries – I would prefer the mass deportations.

Islam is dog bitting dog. Let’s see the devils burning by their own hands.

    16. jordon Says:

Right on Ernesto. Let them fight each other to a standstill.
BUT, as in the camps in Northern Lebanon, absent western/jordanian/UAE armaments, the bad guys, AQ affiliates, will win, and will go on to subvert the entire country. That is their intention. Massive underground tunnels and bunkers have been dug under the northern Leabanese camp currently embattled, similar the the hezbullah tunnels of last summer. This shows planning on at least 2 years timescale. There are a total of 12 palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. I’d bet that similar preparations have been made in at least some of the others.
It was the intention of nazrallahs Hezbullah last summer, – overthrow the west-leaning Lebanese government and replace it witha pro Syrian/Iranian goverment.
Once an established, elected (nominally at least) gov’t is in place, under international law they are free to purchase arms globally, openly.
UN consensus would then be required for an arms embargoe. That would be impossible given current Russian practices of arming every rogue organisation on the planet.
Ergo, while being happy that mad dog is killing mad dog, the result is worse.
The take-over of failed, or weak states, in strategic positions, is the current intent, with the objective of building armaments factories, supply lines, infrastructure to support jihad, etc, etc.
Make no mistake, this is a battle of civilisations. Unfortunately, joe public in the west has so far failed to realise this, mainly due to false and gullible reporters and muddled crapy left-wing thinking, and EU policies on EUrabia and Eurinalsand islamic immigration
Clear orchestration is visible from Iran to distract the west from nuclear, and from Syria to distract from UN investigations of Syrian assassination of Harriri. Evidence of Saud involvement is found in the nationalities of the fighters.
Certainly the funding is at such a level that it has just got to be state sponsored, probably by more than one state.
And thats the worrying part. There is evidence that while publically these states maintain their animosity, (sunni vs shia), privately they are co-operating in terrorist activities
Meanwhile, and in for the long haul, Saudi export of wahhabbi mad dog teachings is proceeding apace globally in Mosques amd madrassahs, seemingly with the blessings of Eurinal governments. A whole culture of 2000 years evolution is being legislated away, and objectors criminalised, to be replaced by a stone-age death cult.
Medium term, that is equally worrying…………………………….

    17. jordon Says:

Debbie, for some reason I can’t find you.
You had a report in Iraq on al-Sadr return.
My attitude, based on nothing more than instinct, experience, and reading between the lines, – is DON’T BELIEVE A WORD OF IT.
He preaches reconciliation of Iraq sunni and shia, etc, etc.
He is referring in essence to the collaboration described in my previous post.
Unite against the west. Get the yanks/brits out, then we can wage war on them more aggressively.
Classically his power base is funded/armed/staffed/advised from Iran. He has no reason to befriend sunnis in Iraq. Don’t forget that muslim solidarity is first to religion, (jihad), second to state.
If that solidarity is being altered it has been sanctioned at a very high (state) religious level. The only circumstance that would allow such sanction would be a uniting against a common enemy – the great satan!
There is certainly more beneath the surface of that speech. I would go so far as to say that its entirety was a coded message.
      Time will tell……………………………..

    18. jordon Says:

Addendum to my 2 previous posts.

I have serious problems reconciling the actions of state sponsored jihadists, and the financial activities of those same state rulers.
The recycling of petro funds is reflected in high real estate prices, particularly in London, in prime real estate, and landed properties in the surrounding areas.
Saudi Arabia’s Maan al-Sanea owns 3.1% of HSBC, Dubai International Capital also owns a stake in HSBC and Qatari investors own 17.6% of
J Sainsbury, the supermarket group. The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority’s portfolio is worth between $250bn and $500bn and is made up of a large numbers of investments in a range of securities, funds and property around the world. Certain Saudi princes have many $billions invested in NASDAQ companies, Footsie companies, Hedge funds either side of the pond, and real estate around the world.

Consistent with the policy of many Middle East oil exporters to invest in downstream facilities of their customers in exchange for long-term import contracts, Saudi Aramco is involved in a US$1.5 billion deal to invest in and supply oil to joint venture refineries in China that would both sell output both domestically and as exports. Currently, Saudi Aramco is involved in negotiations centred on expanding and upgrading the Thalin refinery at Qindao in Shandong Province as well as allowing for some Saudi presence at the Maoming refinery in Guangdong.

Just recently the Chinese gov’t announced a stake holding in Blackstone, a US leveraged Private equity buy-out company, active globally. China will increasingly use its considerable overseas reserves ($1.2 Trillion and rising) to invest in global assets, moving away from dollar denominated treasury bills. These investments will be massivly leveraged.

All major oil companies, including saudi financial involvments of one type or another, are involved in exploration/production in the seas around China.

Record amounts of liquidity have been flowing into the GCC region in the past three years, adding to the already high levels of wealth built up from past oil booms. This is encouraging many private equity firms to enter the region, mobilize this wealth and invest it in the region’s growing investment and economic opportunities. Not only local and regional firms, but also major global private equity firms are setting up shop in the GCC to share in this pie.

Globally, private equity is a growing business. According to the Private Equity Intelligence, a London-based tracking firm, there were over 6,000 private equity funds with assets totaling $1.4 trillion in 2005. In 2006, 684 new funds were launched that raised another $432 billion of new funds for investment.

The vast majority of the new funds were buyout funds ($212 billion), followed by real estate funds ($63 billion), venture funds ($44 billion), fund of funds ($31 billion), mezzanine funds ($19 billion), infrastructure funds ($12 billion), and distressed debt funds ($8 billion). In the Middle East and North Africa region, private equity fund investments grew from $316 million in 2004 to $5.2 billion in 2006, according to Zawya Private Equity Monitor.

The bulk of the funds are invested in Islamic funds and closed-end real estate funds.

Given the global nature of fund flows, manufacturing supply chains, asset holdings etc, I fail to understand firstly the seemingly total discord among the permanent seats at the UN. Are government representatives totally divorced from the realities in the real world?

Secondly, I fail to understand The global financing of terror undertaken by the recipients of petro-funds. It can only undermine the asset value of their portfolios, which are, after all, invested in countries they are apparently seeking to attack/undermine/destabilise. At some point the asset value of their investments, and potential losses must be worth more than the presumed glory of some jihadist victory.

      I just don’t get it.
      UNLESS.
Lately we have seen a massive investment of petro funds in the UAE , in both industry and retail freehold (for sale in the west) shopping malls, etc, (interestingly in the very gulf states that are now aiding the US/Jordon/Lebanon in the Leb fracas). Some of these funds have gone IPO to western investors.(An interesting reversal of process). So the recipients of petro funds are now investing in their own facilities, and attracting western funds to do it/sell to.

I can understand Iranian terror to the extent it wishes to increase its power in the region, and it does not have invested reserves because of past stupid policies.

I can’t understand the Saudi export of madrassas to all points of the compass, as they must realise that should this mad dog cult take root, it must undermine the society in which they are invested.

Are they willing, or able, to rapidly realise their overseas assets in the event of an “accident”. (Shorting before 9/11 says they may), remembering that real estate can take months to dispose of.
Do they have a game plan that I don’t understand?
      What am I missing?
      Anyone?

    20. Rastaman Says:

Here it is, Jordan. Excellent and well researched comment!

That’s something I’ve wondered about as well. All those huge investements in the business and physical infrastructure of the West that they seek to destroy.

Without the West to consume, China and the Mid-East would only have each other, and I hardly think the muslim Arabs want want to try taking over China. The Chinese don’t play as nice as we do.

An Islamic West. Would it be able to continue on as if nothing had changed except that everyone had to kneel 5 times a day or get limbs cut off? If you listen to these imams, they sound insane. The Airport Six planned their actions poorly and it backfired. Iraq was held together only by a madman tyrant, Saddam.

Already in Western nations, both Sunni and Shiite are present and they are already fighting with each other.

What the Saudis are doing doesn’t make sense, does it? I may be wrong but I think that’s the answer. In Arab muslim society there’s lots of internal stress, it’s a constant interaction of power plays built on lies and deceptions. Being slaves to a religion seems to force them to assert their individuality in other ways and since the religion encourages them to lie, cheat and steal to gain their goals, their goals are hopelessly interwoven and often incompatible with each other, both individually and between other individuals and groups.

Each muslim who achieves a position of any power at all, believes totally that the plan he has woven will prevail over all other plans of all other persons. His ability to manipulate others is the superior ability.

Muslim society is a morass of conspiracies, plots and subplots. Muslims themselves show a common tendency toward deep paranoia, and small wonder. They all know that they can’t trust each other. They fear each other and each plans to stand above everyone else. Submission. I think this is the reason that a foot in the face is their deadliest insult.

If muslims succeeded in spreading Submission to all the world, they would not have peace. The killing and misery would never end.

    21. jordon Says:

Update on battles in Lebanon. – My suspicions confirmed!
The Grand Syro-Iranian spring offensive has begun in Lebanon. The design is to drag the Lebanese Army into side – but costly – fights with group A, while group B is preparing itself for the next stage, possibly a summer offensive.

There is a consensus among terrorism analysts in Lebanon — including those within the Lebanese Government and the Cedars Revolution – that elements within Syrian intelligence have been tasked with instigating or initiating a battle in Tripoli between Fatah al Islam and the Lebanese Army in hopes that Lebanese Army units would falter and Lebanese-Palestinian fighting would widen.
      .
The second stage of this spring offensive is to push elements of Jund al Sham (another al Qaeda affiliate) into the southern Palestinian camp of Miyeh-Miyeh near Sidon. The objective is to open another front for Group A: that is the Salafists against the same Lebanese Armed Forces.
      .
Ultimately, the Syro-Iranians hope to see the Lebanese armed forces engaged in fighting in multiple enclaves from Tripoli to Sidon, and perhaps to the Bekaa.
      .
This terror plan is to drain the operational forces of the Lebanese Army by forcing the Lenanese Army to engage enemy forces in multiple locations.
      .
Such a situation would quickly deplete the munitions of regular forces and dangerously stretch Lebanese forces.
      .
Aware that 10,000 soldiers of the Lebanese armed forces are already deployed south of the Litani in order to implement UN resolution 1701 along with UNIFIL forces [United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon], the joint Syrian-Hezbollah war room has in fact pushed the Salafist Jihadists toward the objective of spreading and dividing Lebanese forces across the Lebanese territories. The long-term objective is to “kill” the central force of the Lebanese Army and prevent it from being reinforced by its own reserve forces.
      .
By early summer, Group B — composed of Hezbollah and all other pro-Syrian militias would join the fray against the Lebanese government and seize ground in Beirut and throughout the remainder of the country.
      .
Hence, the Lebanese Army confrontation with al Qaeda in Tripoli — and eventually in Sidon — should take into consideration Group B preparing for future action.

Besides, when it comes to Hezbollah, many Lebanese Army soldiers who are under the influence of (or who fear) the Iranian-backed militia might quit.
      .
So, what we see right now, is a Lebanese Army engaging the northern front with al Qaeda. It must expect attacks from Hezbullah/AQ forces near sidon in the future.
      .
Yes, the Lebanese troops, with their M16 rifles, M113 troop transports, and outdated M48 tanks, are showing courage against the most lethal terrorists on the face of the earth. But courage alone is not enough.
      .
The Lebanese Government must act fast to achieve the following:

      *
Contain the terrorists in the Tripoli area.
      *
Contain the terrorists in the Miyeh-Miyeh area.
      *
Regroup central LA forces to protect the government and the Cedars Revolution from a potential summer offensive by Hezbollah
      *
Integrate an international plan under UNSCR 1559 and 1701 to disarm the militias and defend the borders against Syria.
This situation has largely arisen because of the failure at the outset of the UN peace-keepers and the Leb Army, to enforce the UN resolutions relating to the Hezb/Israeli ceasefire, namely the disarmament of militias, prevention of arms smuggling, and on, and on.
My, MY, things are hotting up!
