The UN Should Be Disbanded
Can someone tell me why the UN leadership wants to raise nearly a half-billion dollars for people who are demonstrably incapable of getting along with anyone including themselves? I’m of course referring to the Palestinians. The UN says the Palestinians are suffering from the international sanctions imposed on them because of their horrible behavior, and apparently wants to reverse the pressure to reform that the sanctions are there for.
Currently, the two rival political parties there, Hamas and Fatah, are shooting at each other in a totally futile attempt to dominate politically. Now Pres. Abbas of the Fatah party has called for early elections in an effort to prevent a civil war and everyone is saying that this will cause a civil war. I sincerely hope so.
If both homicidal sides become actively engaged in killing each other off, they’ll have no time or munitions to spend on attacking Israel. This way Israelis can have a little peace for awhile, while the Palestinians busily reduce their own numbers. With any luck they’ll fight to the last person standing and solve a problem that’s been ongoing for decades. Of course, the UN wouldn’t see it that way and would start demanding intervention. God help us that the Palestinian Arabs should stop being a threat to the Jews, eh?
What all the Islamic Arabs want is for the Palestinians to continue to be a threat. They want Israel surrounded by enemies, especially one in their midst like the Palestinians.
The United Nations was originally founded on the idea that all nations are welcome, even the most backward, hostile and/or undeveloped, and the purpose of this was that by getting all these people together, the bad ones would be positively influenced by the good ones and would improve, become more democratic and more prosperous. Instead, it’s turned out that the majority of nations that are downtrodden and hostile are kept that way so their dictatorial leaders can stay in power easily. They don’t want their people educated or prosperous, because then the people would boot them out and they know it.
Enter the Palestinians. Sound familiar? Just who is being solicited for all that money for them? If you guessed “those who want to see them stay downtrodden”, congratulations. The Palestinians are dupes for private interests. All that money never goes to help the people. It always goes for weaponry. Weapons dealing nations rake in the profits. UN-member weapons dealing nations.
The UN is a failure. Wonderful idea but unrealistic. Dictatorships don’t become democracies by example. They become democracies through revolution, and even that only works sometimes. Just as often, new dictatorships replace the old. Cuba is a shining example of that.
The Palestinian problem can only be solved by removing outside influence. Without the interference of the UN and its Islamic members, the Palestinians can be tamed. Not until then.
The UN has devolved into a grand meeting place, on United States soil, for all the despots and dictators of the world, petty and powerful, to get together in their private rooms and plan their various machinations against us, other countries and their own people. The only saving grace of this would be if the FBI has the building undetectably wired for sound. Otherwise, as I’ve said before, it would make wonderful condos. The views there are breathtaking. If it were offered up as a refuge for the homeless during winter, Florida would be spared a lot of mostly vagrants and bums during its warm winters. There’s a cheering thought.

Completely agree on this one.
Don’t know if you get stupid shows like it in the states but we have one where a TV nanny goes in to sort out families who can’t control their own young children. Basically it is very simple Pavlov, reward good behaviour, never bad.
Yet when it comes to human societies we often forget this basic principle. Acts of terrorism or refusing to follow a reasonable course that might offer a solution should always lead to loss of aid regardless of the consequences. Glad to say even the barmy EU managed to get it right when Hamas was elected.
If they prefer to raise their kids as terrorists rather than try and build a proper future for them it’s up to them but they should not be doing it with our money.

As a matter of fact, we do get that show here, complete with British nannies but using American families. The few times I could stand to watch it I was amazed by the permissiveness of the parents. No wonder their kids were unmanageable little bastards.
Just like the UN and the Palestinians. Remember when Yasshole Arafat got the Nobel Peace Prize? That one still makes me gag.

I should hope so too. British nannies are best and they can fly too!

yes British can fly….just like mary poppins!!! Tony Blair can do it too…which is why he is encouraging all the Muslims to do so too because apparently fairytales these days mean more than real UK History.

Bulldoze the UN and ship the scrap to Fwance and turn it into a dog run.
I’m sure you heard that Koffi just got busted with a taxpayer-subsidized, low income apartment on Roosevelt Island that he’s been keeping illegally for over a decade while he’s been living in a palace on Sutton Place. Nice way to treat poor New Yorkers, Koffi!
Can we deport him now!?

NO. I hadn’t heard that. ROFL! That’s Kofi. I just did a Google on that bit of news. He and his rich Swedish wife somehow scored that strictly low-rent, subsidized apartment and when they moved out ten years ago they turned it over to members of their family. What a bunch of two-faced crumbbums.
