Putting Our Allies Backs Up
A comment came in saying that we are putting our allies backs up and giving ammunition to our enemies because of Guantanamo and Bushs handling of the war. Rather than a lengthy comment back, I decided to put this up front.
I caught on the news last night that 16 Gitmo prisoners had been released and sent home. They were all originally from Saudi Arabia and had been picked up in Afghanistan as Taliban. If not Taliban, then what were they doing there? The Taliban were amost all foreigners. Previously we released 37 other Saudi Taliban. So far nearly 344 people have been released, which is nearly half of the total of 759 who were held. Do you perhaps suppose that the ones we still keep might be a danger to us? That’s perhaps why they’re still there? Perhaps? Almost all the prisoners are Saudis and Pakis. The same people who killed 3000 at the WTC and are blowing up the Tube in England and trains in India and Spain. Thinking that these poor bastards are in prison now and not out there killing more of us just makes me so sad. It’s really just so very awful of us mean, nasty Americans.
All the claims of “Horrible treatment” in the media, every single last claim, has come from Socialist and Left Wing Liberal media sources. Every single one. America-haters all. What do you expect? And you buy into that?
We’re keeping these people prisoner for too long? Really? The war isn’t over. In wars, you don’t release prisoners until the war is over. By letting them go now, we’re damn nice guys and I want to hear someone say so! I want to hear a Thank You!
The Saudis are now going to do their own terrorism investigation on these guys.
In WWII, we had prison camps here for Germans. None of them were entitled to a trial and none were given one. In Germany, we and our Allies took turns with the Germans holding field tribunals and shooting prisoners. Likewise with the Japanese and us. The French shot German prisoners. And so on. In Vietnam, we shot prisoners regularly. So did the Vietnamese.
I don’t know what you’ve been reading or watching on TV in Europe, but we have declared war. We are legally at war according to international convention. When you declare war, then the rules of war apply. If there have been violations of the Geneva Conventions here and there, that’s bad but it happens in war and it usually gets sorted out afterward. We’ve been trying to sort it out now. How about the terrorists? Are they worried about the Geneva Convention?
The prisoners at Gitmo are all LEGALLY Prisoners Of War. They are LEGALLY Enemy Combatants. We only have to provide food, basic medical, and barely adequate shelter and some clothing. We don’t have to give them prayer rugs. We can treat them the same as any prisoner in any Maximum Security prison and that’s how they’ve been treated. We also have the right to interrogate them using some pretty harsh methods. IT’S WAR! If it were not war, we would not have the right. But we do have the right.
Our “allies” backs are up? Do you mean the BBC and the dhimmi Brit politicians who tell them what to say? Do you have any idea of the things the British soldiers did in WWII? Do you think they were all sweetness and light with the Germans who sent all those buzzbombs over? They got the job done and that’s all that mattered.
Bush? Well, I’ll let his approval ratings for the handling of the war speak for themselves.
How many true allies do we have? The Government-run UK media rails against us with lots of anti-US propaganda and half the government does the same, with only Tony Blair and some of his party on our side. When he goes, the UK will probably desert us completely unless the BNP takes over. Unlikely. America-bashing is in, in Europe, and it’s because we and they have parted ways. They’ve become complacent, non-combatant, unwilling to face new enemies. We are still warriors. So are the Israelis and this is what’s behind the new wave of anti-semitism in Europe as well.
Europe is giving plenty of “ammunition to our opponents”. Even to the point of inventing stories. Are we whacking off hands and beheading people? How about the EU media spending equal time reporting all the muslims atrocities instead of just our relatively minor misbehaviors? We haven’t come within a mile of the crap they do.
Australia is with us. They’re still a warrior nation, they haven’t become sheep yet…. even though they raise them by the million. Ho ho. The problem they now face is, if they side with us they anger their relations with the UK, where their roots are. It’s difficult for them and understandable.
Our best and strongest ally on the planet is Israel. They’re true warriors and not afraid to fight. That’s the list of our allies. Woopidoo. All the rest are caving in to PC, dhimmitude, laziness or cowardice.
When it all hits the fan, and it’s airborne now, it will be the US and a couple allies who save the world, just like last time.
It’s war. We’re at war. We are not at peace. We are AT WAR! That’s why we act that way. We want our allies backs to be up. Up against ours. Back to back. How about it?

I sign below.
… and the worst thing: ALL OUR ENEMIES ARE CRAZY SUICIDAL.
Europe commit suicide, for anti-Americanism. Muslins are suicidals, “by order of the prophet”, as said The Clash. Third World commit suicide, even not knowing.
I think our list resumes to Israel, Australia, Eastern “New” Europe and half-America: the conservatives.

About the PC thoughts:
“Ahmadinejad chooses a logical group… the poor, they are who he might be able to convert to his radical type of Islam.”
THE FACTS: The poor always were the “logical group” choosen by Jesus, too.
But the ISLAMIC poor are SO able to convert to his radical type of Islam AS the middle-class 19 terrorists of 9/11. AND the rich Masters of Evil leaders of Al-Qaeda and aiatollahs, mulllahs, princes, ordinary dictators…
The “radical type of Islam” is acessible by EVERY social class. The REAL requirement for being a terrorist is the same: EVIL.

You are missing the point I am making Rastaman. I do not disagree that there is a war nor that exceptional measures are sometimes needed, but there are many fronts to a war apart from the military. One of them which Geobbels had the sense to realise, but not Bush apparently, is the immense importance of propoganda.
A country does what is genuinely necessary to defend its interests, but whenever possible it does that in a way that keeps its allies on side and does not provide ammunition for its opponents. It does not make stupid speeches telling allies that “you are either with us or against us” as though somehow the French or German governments were supporters of Al Quiada simply because they did not agree that the invasion of Iraq was an immediate necessity. If it takes prisoners it at least appears to be treating them properly, as even the Nazis mostly has the sense to do, rather than showing pictures of men being paraded around bent over in chains long after there was any possibility of a concealed weapon.
And you are completely wrong that it is socialists and left wingers that despise these actions, it is equally those of us on the right who believe in individual freedom and have the sense to realise that terrorists may come and go but the there is NO worse threat to our freedoms than an overbearing state that acts in an arbitrary manner and contrary to its own rules whenever its suits. It is this very dislike of state imposition of arbitrary rules that is the reason for many’s loathing of Islam.
Finally on Israel, they act in their own interests but also manage to act, at least in public, in a civilised manner, the relatively low casualties in the Lebanon conflict for example. It is this very contrast between their civilised restraint and the attitudes of the other side that have made many change their minds about who we should be supporting.

Xog, you said “What the US have done in Guantanamo is a disgrace to your nation.” That’s what fired me off. And you’re mistaken, I didn’t miss a single point.
I didn’t say it was socialists and left wingers who despise our actions, I said they were the ones making up all the phony stories. If those lies were true, I would, and do, despise such actions as well. The stories aren’t true. They’re propaganda. Where am I wrong?
When it comes to Bush’s handling of things, I’ve never liked the guy and I never considered him presidential material to begin with. Nor do I now. I think he’s a self-righteous fool, which is why he surrounds himself with like kind. Anyone who can’t see the smugness and arrogance in Carl Rove, Don Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney has no sense of character and had better live as hermits. They are overbearing people. Eight top generals quit their careers over Rumsfelds stubborn ineptness. That should say something. Bush has definitely made greater enemies of those who weren’t such good friends of ours to begin with. He is overbearing and he’s done poorly. No argument, never was one.
The detention center at Guantanamo has nothing to do with Bush. It was set up by the military in cooperation with the CIA to house and interrogate prisoners of war. No one has lost an eye or a limb there or been subject to anything life-threatening. There were 2 deaths which were suicides, something terrorists do well, calculated to bring bad publicity to the detention center. That’s it. All the stories of terrible degradation are crap made up by the Arabs we released and lying is good, normal behavior in Arab Islamic society. Those lies were siezed on by the liberal MSM, like the BBC, because it makes great copy and makes America look like hell, and people just suck it right up without questioning it.
I do agree that the Bush administration has seemed pretty helpless in the face of all the Islamist , socialist, liberal and Left Wing rhetoric. They’ve been ineffective and if it weren’t for us bloggers shouting back at the lefties, they would have made a much bigger dent. There’s no consistent Foreign Policy whatever. In fact there doesn’t seem to be any Foreign Policy at all.
I appreciate your concern for the U.S. but please don’t jump on the Bad America bandwagon or buy into Liberal B.S.. When a story makes us look bad, there’s a strong chance that it’s heavily slanted. When we screw up, it’s us right of center bloggers who will tell you first.

I agree with you Rastaman, completely. The true story does not get out, except with bloggers and sometimes Fox and a few talk radio and commentators. It is a shame too. All the bad press, assuming the worst, reporting what ‘might’ be, or ‘could’ be, and actually making up the news and fake sources to get their view point out is terrible. It is anti-American if you ask me, especially in a time of war.

The NY Times Compares The U.S. Army To Islam…
Earlier I posted on Muslim Women in U.S. Military, specifically one woman, Fadwa Hamdan. I read the article and saw a woman who had been treated like a slave by her family and her husband. I saw a women who…

Here’s my rabid frothing at how to win this war.How to Win the War(s)
George Bush is talking about increasing the number of troops in Iraq. The militarys’ top brass is saying this won’t do it. Who is right? The General’s are right, of course, and here is why.
Due to our culture we are somehow hesitant to do anything that will offend anyone. We just don’t like to upset anyone. Even the military leaders don’t want to offend anyone, and they are trained to kill. The top ranks of our military don’t want to offend the president by telling him the reason we don’t need more troops. Our troops are the best trained, most disciplined, superbly equipped fighting force in the universe. We don’t need more troops. What is needed is for the politico’s and the American people to unleash these men and women and let them do their job.
The cowardly islamofascists hide and kill from mosques. Our armed forces need to destroy that mosque. I don’t care if mohammed scored his first piece of
ass there or not. If it is used to attack our forces, it ceases to exist. If a neighborhood seems to be an area where attacks emanate from, it becomes a non-neighborhood. When 190 Taliban scum gather to pay their respects at a funeral, give them their own burial. Like Pavlov’s dogs, sooner or later these savages will associate good behaviour with a reward. The reward being – don’t fuck with us and you can take another breath.
The American public cannot stomach, the casualties, the inhumanities, the savagery of war. Our men and women in the armed forces can and do stomach these on a daily basis. We need to stop running this war based on polls and the average US citizens distaste for upsetting people. We need to win this war by killing those who kill us, those who protect the killers of us and those who sympathize with these animals. We need to let the military do what we pay them to do; kill the enemy. Collateral damage in Iraq is much easier to swallow than intentional damage by some whack job flying planes into buildings.
I end this diatribe by wishing all our service persons a Merry Christmas. My wish for the new year is that you are allowed to complete your job as the military leaders see fit and you all come home safely.I hope that our Generals are guided by their training and not by some asswipe who is worried what the latest Zogby poll says.posted @http://kafirklatsch.blogspot.com/
