Muslim Rep. Keith Ellison And The Koran Update
This will be short since no one seems to know anything anyway. Ellison may or may not have said that he will use the Koran in his swearing-in ceremony, or that may be a part of the utter fiction that Dennis Prager wrote about Ellison. Whatever, the MSM and everyone else has jumped on it and now all are saying that Ellison said that’s what he’s going to do.
That’s fine. The problem arises when you realize that no book is used in the ceremony. I suppose Ellison could take a Koran along to it if he wants and even put his right hand on it and raise his left to the sky and swear etcetera. I care less. The point is that normally, in the ceremony, there’s no book.
Afterward in the photo op session, newly sworn in candidates sometimes have their picture taken with their hand on a bible in the classic pose described above, but that’s just for the media.
Dennis Prager definitely got himself a lot of attention over this, which may have been the whole idea, but the bottom line here is that what he wrote is a pack of lies from beginning to end with the only possible exception being that Ellison may have said he was using a Koran in the photo op. We already know he’s a muslim, what else would he use?
Much ado about nothing.
