Tony Blair Funds The Taliban? What?

If this is really as it seems, there must be a lot of horribly embarassed average British citizens right about now.

Islamabad, Nov 19 (ANI): “The ‘moderation plan’ of Pakistan’s Islamic schools or madrassas, which have been alleged to be the breeding ground for radical Muslims and the crèche for new breed of terrorists, received a boost on Sunday with visiting British Prime Minister Tony Blair doubling the amount of the UK Development Fund to Pakistan.

Blair pledged dollar 960 million, which will be used over the next three years, to support Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf’s educational reforms and would help in the promotion of “a climate of enlightened moderation in Islamic schools”.

He’s giving one of the worst sources of terrorism on the planet a billion dollars to turn more British Pakis into radicalized terrorists who return to England and plot mayhem?

“A terror pact was also signed that included a separate counter-terrorism package of technical assistance, worth 15 million dollars. In the 2005-06 financial year about 70 million pounds was handed over to the Pakis, as a part of a contribution of 236 million pounds over the next three years.”

“British Prime Minister Tony Blair has stressed the need for resolving the Palestinian issue to eradicate terrorism.”

Tony Blair is sending Pakistan huge amounts of money and “techical assistance”, whatever that is. He agrees with the Paki President over “resolving the Palestinian issue”. This latter means that he is apparently siding against the Israelis, which would explain the great upsurge in anti-semitism in the BBC lately, which is government owned. This smells badly of appeasement.

The two questions to be asked now are, what does Pakistan have to do with the Palestinians, and does Blair really, actually believe that he can bribe the Pakis to reform?

Does anyone believe Musharraf? Does anyone think the guy who says that the Taliban is “ultimately an Afghanistan problem” will bring about reforms? Blair is talking about rebuilding and upgrading Pakistan and making it a nicer place to live, with all that money.

The Paki muslims are up there with the most vicious and violent people on Earth and they have proven this repeatedly all over Europe! The Paki muslims are the single biggest problem in England and yet Blair is pouring money into them.

Four days later….

Published: 20/11/2006 12:00 AM (UAE) Prithvi missile test successful – official
AP: Bhubaneshwar: India yesterday successfully test-fired a medium-range nuclear-capable missile.

The U.S. is backing India now. We have a nuclear treaty and we do a lot of business with India. Great Britain is backing Pakistan now and funding them while Pakistan has a nuke agreement now with China, which is no friend of anyones. India and Pakistan are enemies but at recent two-day peace talks, the two nations agreed for the first time on joint measures to combat terrorism, and on safeguards to prevent an accidental nuclear conflict. One day after the Peace talks the Pakis test-fired that missile!

Now that the game is up on Iraq, Blair has admitted to what mistakes Iraq and Multi-Culturalism are. Pakistan isn’t?

I’m trying really hard to make sense of this and what it looks like is the same old Arab shell game. Now you see it, now you don’t. Appeasement never works with muslims, how many times does that have to be proven?

Appeasement doesn’t work. I just wish that the barrel of a gun approach worked. We’ve been in Iraq for years and we haven’t been particularly nice… and yet I haven’t seen much of an improvement. Afghanistan is only going marginally better. Being nice doesn’t seem to work, being aggressive doesn’t seem to work. I think we’re running out of options.

    What to do?

Do you ever comment on the actual thread of a post? This post is about Blairs dealings with Pakistan.

We’re not running out of options. We haven’t used any yet. Oh what to do? Start bombing the hell out of them. Use tactical nukes. Give the Saudis an ultmatum to back off their shit or be destroyed. Attack and destroy the Taliban bases in Pakistan. I could go on for quite awhile.

We’re just playing footsie so far.

It really pisses me off. Half a billion of my and other British taxpayers’ money. Pakistan gets more than enough money from the UK through all the money repatriated by those living here.

I wouldn’t mind so much if it really would reduce extremism but Blair is insane if he thinks it will. There are over 160 million people in Pakistan and 50% are under 15. You can just imagine what difference even half a billion quid will make. It isn’t as though we could expect any gratitude from them even if it did.

In the rest of the news today (Daily Telegraph) his and Bush’s insane actions have now cost the UK £7bn. Meanwhile British citizens can’t even get decent treatment for cancer.

OOOOOh I am really mad now!

This is really scary. I read somewhere yesterday about Blair being under investigation for some type of hugs slush fund, but I lost the link somewhere before I got to read it.

This is scary stuff, we do not need to be sending money to schools in Pakistan, we know that is where terrorists from Europe and the U.S. go for training. We need to be blowing them up. But Pakistan’s leaders say no more unmanned drones releasing missiles, no U.S. action whatsoever in Pakistan without the Paks prior approval.

Rastaman you are right. We haven’t even begun to fight this war the way we should. Unleash our military and let them do what they are trained form

    The rats are jumping ship…

What is a world war? Simply put, it is a war, involving countries around the world, ountries with common beliefs fighting against a common enemy. Using that one could easily say we are involved in World War. The problem I…
