Vote NO On Proposition Maybe

Nothing worth blogging about that I can come across. Seems like the Sea of News Doldrums are upon us before the incoming Voting Day Storm, and while all the nasty little tyrants, dictators, imams and ayatollahs et al go about their usual furtive affairs, the MSM has eyes only for the various candidates of the various elections and the various inititiatives shoved in all our various faces.

So what the hell. Let me say this about all those initiatives. Read the bottom line and you will see that the majority want to raise property taxes. Since most people rent, they vote yes, thinking that they aren’t the ones who will have to pay for all that new pork-barrel crap. Au contraire, Dear Tenant. When landlords get hit with more tax, they raise the rent. Duh!

So vote NO.

The second form of initiative funding is by raising Sales Tax. Temporarily only, oh yeah sure. How many of you are aware that all the states that have sales taxes today got the public to vote them in as a temporary measure only? Let’s see a show of hands.

All sales taxes are permanent. All of them. Forever. They go up but they never come down.

So vote NO.

Bond issues are for raising money for projects. Bond issues are when you the voter says oh ok, we need that, and they’re voted in. The bonds are actually loans from individuals that are a sort of mortgage that you have agreed to on your car or soul or whatever. The bonds are “sold” to people who actually lend money in exchange for them and who get paid back with generous INTEREST because your property taxes are raised to pay for them and if you are a Dear Tenant, you get your rent hiked up.

So vote NO.

You pay plenty of taxes now. The reason you are being asked to pay MORE MONEY is because the jerks you’ve been paying have mismanaged and misspent it. When you vote yes on these initiatives you’re telling them that, one, you’re as stupid as they knew you were all along, and two, they can keep right on spending with no end in sight because you’ll keep on paying.

If you vote in a bond issue for a new school or firehouse, this means that the money handlers don’t have to stop fertilizing the golf course or planting trees along Park Lane to raise funds.

By voting NO, you are telling them to curtail some of the pork and become more efficient with those dollars that you by God had to WORK FOR, because otherwise they could care less how hard you have to work for what little you get. Make them spend what they do get on what matters most, and vote NO on THEM if they don’t.

Vote NO on Prop. No.
