There’s a real push to modify the EU constitution to include acknowledgement of Europe’s Christian religious heritage as being the foundation of European civilization, which it was.

It can’t really be called a clash of civilizations as there literally is no such thing as an Islamic civilization unless you count stone-age tribes. Everything civilized in the muslim world today is built on Western technology and philosophy. Thanks for your disagreement but I didn’t say “culture”, I said CIVILIZATION. Village neighborhoods can create a culture and often do. What happened was that the Arab civilization was taken over by Islam, by way of the sword. The Middle East today is a hodge-podge of tribes in tents and mud huts, with scattered cities here and there run by tyrants, surrounded by dissident groups of all names and stripes. This is your Islamic “culture” now.
The contributions of the Arabs, such as the Decimal System, occurred before Islam came along in the 7th Century. There have been virtually none ever since.
Islam doesn’t create civilizations, it destroys them.
Updated…. In all fairness, there have been advances in medicine and architecture and so on in Islamic countries over the centuries. Even Saddam Hussein had beautiful palaces built. However, these things happened in spite of Islam, not because of it. Islam itself is stultifying and impedes progress. It’s only when the imposition of Islamic Sharia law becomes relaxed and a little freedom starts being felt, that any progress occurs and a CULTURE of science and knowledge can begin to flourish. Look at all the nations of Islam and show me one where scientific advances for the betterment of man are happening. There are none. Islamic Arabs don’t do that. The prime concern of Islamic Arabs is to get one up on everyone else.

It would really be good if you saw the dvd entitled “Islam” (SEE BELOW) then we could debate what i wrote about. rent the dvd and look at the architecture, the hospitals and the libraries that were opened by the various students of islam over the centuries. I don’t disagree with you in terms of the sick extremists in iraq, iran and all over the world now.
but then again, look at the crusades. really look. their movement also caused a bit of damage, death and destruction. of course the crusaders didn’t blow themselves up. but i’m sure they killed many innocents in the name of their religion and beliefs. SEE “DELETED”, a three-part series, re-creates the spectacular — Blah blah blah, blatant commercial promotion of a product, something I do not allow on my blog.

Apologists for Islam always point at the Crusades, which actually were waged to TAKE BACK the Holy Lands from the INVADING MUSLIMS. Can’t you people ever talk about current events? Instead of always trying to rewrite history? Why would I want to debate bullshit?

We may see Sweden turn around on that now that the Leftists are out of office. But the UK and France… how revealing! -yeah., us Brits are tolerant to all cultures and religions, and are too worried about offending non-Chrisitians.
That would also cover atheists-not just Muslims.
You support the BNP? They’re just as evil as Bi Laden et al you know. They want a totally white Britain whose population is entiely of those born in the U.K.
They also like killing non-whites in a similar fashion to the way Muslim extremists want non-muslims killed. They’re ideology is similar to the KKK.

The BNP used to be a bunch of racist skinheads. Now they’re a bunch of racist people generally including some blacks and Hindus. That may seem like humor of a sort but what I see is an evolving party that is coming out of adolescence and learning some tolerance.
I wouldn’t like to see them learning too much tolerance and becoming like the current British administration. Most of their intolerance is now directed at the muslims and to me, that’s a good sign of looking at reality instead of wallowing in fantasies of racial superiority.
I therefor consider the BNP to be Englands best hope of regaining its national identity, sense of pride and higher cultural values. I could be wrong, but do you see anything better? England can no longer afford its liberal stance, as the muslims have taken rude advantage and have shown themselves to be invaders intent on conquering. You must take a right wing view of things now or face oblivion as a nation, and the BNP is the only force of any strength currently going that has a chance of saving Britain.
True, afterward you might have to save yourselves from the BNP, but I do think it’s more moderate now than what you describe. It has fascist overtones, yes it does, but I can’t see it in the same light as the KKK, who were cowards in bed sheets attacking individuals at night and I don’t see the BNP going around slaughtering non-natives. Deporting them enmasse, yes. I do think the BNP wants to see England safe and proud again. That can’t be all bad.
