The ACLU Loses, Claims Victory. Just like Hezbollah….
Another ACLU attack on our fight against terrorists. There’s a law in Ohio requiring those seeking certain licenses or government jobs, contracts, or businesses worth $100,000 or more a year to sign a declaration that they have not assisted or supported a terrorism-related organization. It’s the Ohio Patriot Act. Anyone reading this have a problem with people in sensitive, big money jobs signing a simple loyalty oath? Doesn’t it make good sense to do so? Does it in any way infringe on our freedoms? Don’t we want to know if someone is likely to use their job to try and kill us?
The ACLU, just like Hezbollah, is claiming victory even though they actually lost. Sound familiar? The judge simply ruled that the person they were suing for didn’t make enough money to qualify and so didn’t have to sign. The judge DID NOT rule the law unconstitutional, which is what the ACLU was really after.
More ACLU news:
The Public Expression of Religion Act is coming up for a House vote shortly. Assuming it passes the House and makes it past the Senate, Pres. Bush will no doubt sign it into law. What it will do is take away the ability of the ACLU to sue state courts for attorneys fees if they win cases attacking any public display of a Christian religious symbol. The law that allows them to do this was actually designed to provide relief in court for people whose civil liberties had been attacked and they were otherwise unable to pay attorney fees. The ACLU hijacked this law and have made huge fortunes by seeking out and suing over even the smallest example of a Christian religious symbol that is displayed in a public place. If they lose, no one has to be paid including the community they sue, but if they win, they demand and get exorbitant fees.
Most Islamic organizations want to stamp out Christianity in the US and the ACLU gives all appearances of being in partnership with them.
The new law will take away the ability of judges to award fees to them in cases of this type.
They only attack Christian displays. Those of other faiths are never bothered, that I have been able to discover. This is just one of the great many ways in which the ACLU attacks America and gets rich doing it. They work hard to prevent the arrest and interrogation of terrorists, to allow foreign Arab muslims to become commercial airlines pilots, they supported the dissemination of child pornography and went to bat in court for the North American Man-Boy Love Association, that infamous group of pedophiles.
Here’s a further list of some of the activities of the ACLU. These may not all be alarming to you, but most of them should be.
Join the movement to stop the ACLU!

Did you read this in one of my posts today? I knew you would want to know:
. . . there are 154 Democrats in the House of Representatives who get a 100% rating from the terror apologists at CAIR. Currently there are 201 Democrats total in the House, which means that a full 76%, more than 3/4’s, of them get the CAIR stamp of approval. On the flip side, there’s only 8 Republicans who get CAIR’s approval out of the 231 GOP’ers in the House. That’s 3.5%.

Yep, I checked that out. Turns out it’s based on which way people voted on the Real ID Act in ‘05, over a year ago. Those who voted against it got a 100% rating from CAIR. I guess CAIR didn’t like that Act much, can’t imagine why, all it did was give us more tools to use against terrorists.
Anyway, getting CAIRs approval doesn’t make anyone a friend of CAIR. It does mean that those people could stand to stop voting the Dem. party line though and make a greater effort to support their country. As Hellpig used to say, and I do miss his vitriolic remarks, Liberalism is a mental illness.

But is there any practical point in requiring such a declaration? Are potential terrorists asked something like “Do you intend to engage in terrorist or criminal activity” going to put “yes”? More to the point to check them out properly, documents, references etc. Like your site by the way.

I actually wouldn’t be surprised if the ACLU learned the tactic from Hezbollah. Or maybe from the PLO, who also declared “victory” each time after Israel crushed them in 1967 and 1973.
