Victory? Did Somebody Win Something?
Israel and Hezbollah both loudly proclaimed victory yesterday.
Hezbollah lost over 600 fighters and a huge amount of hardware, along with a lot of former supporters who are looking at their destroyed homes, destroyed lives and dead relatives and are putting the blame on Hezbollah where it belongs. Just as many others, of course, are so sucked in that they blame Israel in spite of reality, but that’s the fanatic mind and nothing to be done about it. Overall, Hezbollah lost big and got scared, which is why they kept yelling for a cease-fire. It was the Arabs who cried Uncle, not the Israelis. That’s a victory for Israel.
Israel lost 159 soldiers and civilians along with the 8 killed and 2 still missing that started this war. Israel has gained the sudden respect of the Arab nations that had gone slack over the years since the last time Israel had to smack them around. Israel has also gained some peace and quiet. If the cease-fire fails to hold, and I go with the majority who don’t think it will, The Israelis won’t be going back into this in the dark. They’ve learned a great deal about the new tactics of their enemy and they know better ways to attack again in the future, if they have to. So that’s a victory.
Most of us war-mongers out here would have much preferred to see Israel keep fighting until there was no Hezbollah. The problem with this, which is what alarmed the US, is that in order to wipe out Hezbollah, Israel would have had to flatten all of Lebanon. This would really make Israel look bad in the eyes of the world, and the Israelis do care about this and probably a lot more than they should. Instead, Israel has once again demonstrated their basic reasonableness in the face of terrorist oppression, so if they are once again attacked, they can’t be faulted for fighting back. This is a victory.
Israel was still fighting in Gaza all during the Lebanon campaign. Taking a break in Lebanon helps matters and gives the troops a chance to be cycled and rest.
Lebanon is a huge loser in this war and they deserve to be. If you are going to host terrorists and embrace them instead of asking for help in getting rid of them, you deserve what you get.
There is no clear-cut, final victory here, and the fighting is most likely not over yet. Everyone involved took losses and the biggest losers regardless of their specious and childish claims of victory are Lebanon and the Iranian Hezbollah terrorists.

This was not a victory the US & UN stopped it from being a victory just like we have so many times in the past. This will all start up again in hours, days, weeks, or months just like it always has in the past! Reason doesn’t work with Muslim Moon-Bats, only force used with extreme prejudice works. There is never going to by any victory until there are no Islimes left standing!

HOPEFULLY WHEN THE NEXT GO ROUND COMES, NETANYAHU IS RUNNING THE COUNTRY. I SAY FLATTEN LEBANON IF NEED BE. ONE THING I SAW ON THE NEWS LAST NIGHT IS THE FACT THAT THE ISRAELIS HAVE VOWED TO KILL N(ASS)RALLAH. I HOPE WHEN THE TIME COMES THEY MAKE A REALLY MESSY HIT ON THE HEATHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I guess you would say that All jews are gods too huh. Yeah I know Jesus is white ane the earth is Flat. The only way You False Jews will ever live good is if you stop stealing from colored people. You never faced this kind of opposition before. Now If you can name one Jewish Family that can trace their roots back to those same areas that they are living then I will say you are right. thank you

The fact is that the Holy Lands, Jerusalem, Palestine, were originally inhabited by Jews, and were invaded by the murdering muslims. That’s what the Crusades were about in the 11th Century, to take back the Holy Lands from the invading muslims.
