Jeremiah Wright is trying to control Barack Obama. He’s trying to dominate him with shame, vilify him before the black community, force him to come back into the fold, to openly espouse the Black Power, Black Supremism, Afro-Centrist, Anti-American Fascistic doctrine that he’s been packing down Obama’s throat for 20 years, and of course if Obama does this, that will be the death of any chance at the Presidency. Rupert Murdoch, may he die of a painful stroke, is getting closer all the time to owning all the media in the world. The Chicago-based Tribune Co. is reporting that Tribune owned Newsday has reached an “agreement in principle” to sell the Long Island based newspaper to Rupert Murdoch owned News Corp for $580 million.

New York has a little something called “media ownership issues,” which “could restrict the number of properties…Murdoch could own in the New York Area”. This wrinkled up old fuck is 77 years old and thinks he’s going to live forever. His goal in life is to control every word we see and hear on TV, radio and in print and on the Internet. Seriously. That’s what he’s after and makes no secret of it. To what egomaniacal purpose, who the Hell knows? No wonder the planet is so screwed up.

An 84 year old Jewish guy, speaking of older types, has been arrested for passing military secrets to Israel back in the 1980’s, including nuclear weaponry, the F-15 fighter jet program and the U.S. Patriot missile defense system. So now he’s going to be prosecuted.

I have a better idea. Deport him to Israel where he can live out the rest of his days as the National Hero that he is. We should have been giving Israel the info anyway and we probably did but don’t want to admit it because our military is so paranoid.

Hugo Chavez, the Benito Mussolini of Venezuela, is yelling about soaring food prices, calling them a “massacre” of the world’s poor that are creating a global nutritional crisis. “It is a true massacre what is happening in the world,” Chavez said in a televised speech, citing U.N. statistics about deaths caused by hunger and malnourishment.

His comments came only hours after the United Nations’ World Food Program called more expensive food a “silent tsunami” that threatens to plunge more than 100 million people on every continent into hunger. “The problem is not the production of food … it is the economic, social and political model of the world. The capitalist model is in crisis.”

Well, he’s not a stupid man even if he looks it, and even tho he’s a communist, he’s right on all counts about the food crisis and its cause. Where he goes overboard is in saying that capitalism is in crisis. Nope. Not. What’s in crisis are all those people making about a dollar a day or less who are starving as I type. About 100 million of them and more on the way as food prices continue to rise way faster than wages.

My money is on the starvation deaths of 500 million, that’s 1/2 Billion, people in the next 3 years. Any takers?

From the U.K. “New Statesman”: “World cereal stocks are at an all-time low, food-aid programmes have run out of money and millions face starvation. Yet wealthy countries persist with plans to use grain for petrol. The U.K.’s Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation introduced on 15 April, mandates petrol retailers to mix 2.5 per cent biofuels into fuel sold to motorists. This will rise to 5.75 per cent by 2010.”

The concern is legitimate as biofuel from corn has proven to be very inefficient. The end cost is actually higher per gallon than gasoline.

Using our farmland to make ethanol instead of food is only a small part of the problem. There are other threats, such as wheat rust. A strain named Ug99 emerged in Africa in 1999. Despite containment efforts, winds carried spores to the bread baskets of the Middle East. It is now poised to infect prime wheat growing regions in Europe, Ukraine, Russia, India and Pakistan.

Should even one major wheat producer have a crop failure, the effect on the world’s ability to feed itself would be immense, which explains why crash programs to develop new rust resistant strains are now underway.

However, if Ug99 spreads swiftly, devastating crops before science can breed resistant strains, already grave food security problems will expand. So this isn’t simply a distant problem for poor nations, it looms over rich ones like Canada and the United States, too.

World Bank president Robert Zoellick has bluntly warned the world’s richest countries that a potential planetary catastrophe is unfolding with frightening speed. Jacques Diouf, head of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, warns that 37 countries are already in crisis and each day brings greater risk of global famine. India’s finance minister was more direct. “It is becoming starker by the day,” Palaniappan Chidambaram said. “Unless we act fast for a global consensus on the price spiral, the social unrest induced by food prices in several countries will conflagrate into a global contagion, leaving no country — developed or otherwise — unscathed.”

The consequences for the world’s poor are brutal: we drive, they starve. The mass diversion of grain harvests into ethanol plants for fuel is reaching its political and moral limits.

The UN says it takes 232 kilograms of corn to fill a 50-litre (about 13 gallons) car tank with ethanol. That is enough to feed a child for a year. Last week, the UN predicted “massacres” unless the biofuel policy is halted.

Biofuels is one cause, but just one. The reason for food “shortages” is speculation in commodity futures following the collapse of the credit markets. Needing quick returns to offset the huge loan losses, dealers are taking trillions of dollars out of equities and mortgage bonds and ploughing them into food and raw materials. It’s called the “commodities super-cycle” on Wall Street, and it is likely to cause starvation on an epic scale because this competition is massively driving up prices.

The rocketing price of wheat, soybeans, sugar, coffee - you name it - is a direct result of debt defaults that have caused financial panic in the west and encouraged investors to seek “stores of value”. These range from gold and oil at one end to corn, cocoa and cattle at the other; speculators are even placing bets on water prices.

This is a bubble to end all bubbles and one that can only burst with the deaths of millions of people through starvation. The price of oil is not going to come down because the Arabs and Russians and Venezuelans, etcetera, are glorying in the huge rush of wealth. Oil drives food production. Commodities speculation and investment drive up prices right along with oil increases, which show no sign of stopping.

Profit-taking may doom the 2.8 billion people who live on less than $2 a day, almost half the world’s population, to pay for these profits with their lives, and long before then there will be wars.

When mass starvation sets in, which it will, disease controls and any efforts at sanitation will fall apart and plagues will roam the planet like they’ve always done in times like these.

The rise of Islam is going to have to take a back seat to global starvation. I don’t think all those super-rich sheiks in Dubai are going to open their purses to feed the starving masses of muslims, nor the Saudis, either, as their dreams of a new global Caliphate come crashing down when hundreds of millions of muslims begin starving to death.

They will, because the truth is that the countries that have been taken over by Islam are the most backward, worst managed and poorest in all the world, except for those that have oil reserves, and those people will be the first to starve. In Darfur, for example, it is muslims who are killing off all the Christians in order to Islamize the country, and in the process they are killing all the farmers who’ve been providing them with food. Those who still survive are without work or income and surviving in camps off what little charity they can get.

Mother Nature always seeks a balance, and she always finds it. Most people in the “Have” nations will survive. In fact, they’ll hardly notice all the starvation while most of those in the “Have Not” nations die. Between the grain shortage, rising oil prices, increasing inflation and wars and pending wars, we are hurtling over the brink.

4,392 priests had been accused of abusing 10,667 individuals between 1950 and 2002. That’s a lot of homosexual child molesters. I mean, A LOT OF CHILD MOLESTERS! ALMOST FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED HOMOSEXUAL CHILD MOLESTERS AND ALL OF THEM CATHOLIC PRIESTS!!!

Their mission was to give healing, to give the love of God to these children. We are deeply ashamed and we will do what is possible that this cannot happen in the future.”

Apparently drawing a distinction between priests with homosexual tendencies and those inclined to molest children, the Pontiff said “I would not speak at this moment about homosexuality, but pedophilia which is another thing. And we would absolutely exclude pedophiles from the sacred ministry.”

“Who is guilty of pedophilia cannot be a priest,” he added.

Okay. Now let’s rip that to pieces. I’m waiting for a few words of apology for the children. Remember the children? I don’t care about the “great suffering of the Church”. Screw the church, the church has been humiliated as it should have been. The church has paid out money to the victims until their big plaster images of Christ got nosebleeds. As they should have. To Hell with the church! No apology to the victims? Only a whine about how the church has suffered?

Oh no. This won’t do.

Then he goes on to separate homosexuality from the molesting of boys by men. You can’t. Most homosexual men like pubescent boys. They just do. Homosexual men are almost a different breed of human altogether, and any straight person who doesn’t know about this should go hang out in a queer bar, or better yet, one of their parties, for a few hours and get an education. The way they act when they’re all together and feel safe is vastly different than the way they behave in public, because that behavior would never be tolerated in public.

My wife and I were invited to a fruit salad Halloween party once but we didn’t stay long. Those guys were constantly grabbing each others butts and privates and acting like they were insane, even without all the sex play. Prancing like demented women or playing the Super Macho Man… It was something to behold.

So the Pope doesn’t want to speak out about homosexual priests. He says “Who is guilty of pedophilia cannot be a priest”. That’s right. Wait until they’re found guilty, first. Don’t throw them out just because they’re queer because they’re damn near ALL queer.

Demanding that the priests be celibate when there’s zero evidence that Jesus was, in fact there’s a lot of evidence that he was NOT, has made the Catholic church a haven for homosexuals. The only way to prevent future abuse of children is to allow priests to marry. In this way, we won’t have a bunch of queers counseling our mostly straight children and setting them up for abuse, and the priesthood can normalize.

The Pope doesn’t want to go anywhere near this issue. He knows that if he did, his evening tea would have an extra ingredient and that would be the end of him. He’s at the mercy of all those powerful homosexuals under him. The corruption of the Catholic church goes all the way to the top. Of the 19 bishops “credibly accused of abusing children,” none has lost his title, been publicly censured by the Vatican or referred for criminal prosecutions. The Pope has protected them instead.

Damn right he has. His own life would end if he did anything different. Pedophiles are not nice people.

But he could at least apologize and at the end of the day, at the end of his trip, he has never once said “I’m sorry”, or “I apologize”. The Pope is an equivocating asshole.

About 20,000 workers rioted over high food prices and low wages on Saturday close to the Bangladesh capital Dhaka, police said, amid spreading global unrest over soaring grocery costs.

Food riots seem to be happening around the world on a near-daily basis lately. U.N. peacekeepers fired rubber bullets and tear gas at an angry mob that tried to storm the National Palace in the Hatian capital, Port-au-Prince today. Riots began in Haiti last Wednesday and five people have already been killed in the violence.

Food Riots in Egypt

The UN secretary general has warned that millions of people are at risk of starvation as global food stocks have fallen to their lowest levels for decades. The most acute effects have been seen in Egypt, where thousands of people have resorted to violence due to the unavailability of basic food products such as bread, rice, sugar and cooking oil, and rising food prices. At least 10 people have died over the past two weeks, in riots that erupted at government subsidised bakeries.

Besides Haiti and Egypt, there’s been food riots in 8 other African nations, mostly along the western coast, as well as Mexico, Milan, India, , Indonesia and Yemen, and the food shortage is just beginning. The poorer nations suffer starvation first and so the riots also start there first, but the food shortage is steadily becoming more widespread.

I’ve posted on this before and I’ll be posting on it again before it’s all done. The world is heading into global famine, and with famine comes war, disease and death. Those of you who live in affluent countries, thank your lucky stars but keep your powder dry, because if this situation isn’t reversed soon, global famine alone is enough to spark a global war. Starvation and plagues go together. Always have and this time will be no different.

The Chinese government has just announced the uncovering of another huge plot to disrupt the Olympic games by a horde of Al Qaeda terrorists. Over 120 arrests were reported to have been made and “more are expected.”

A lot of people have doubted China’s terrorist plot claims as being as phony as their propaganda about Tibet and the Dalai Lama, and designed only to draw attention away from their brutal rape of the Tibetans, so the Peoples Republic has offered the following photograph as proof. In it you can clearly see a man uncovering one plot after another under a big, steaming, pile of horseshit.

A few of the Chinese Blue Meany thugs were positioned around the torch bearer in San Francisco in this picture but were mostly not obviously present during the short time the torch was on the streets.

After reading about 100 comments left on a few MSM sites, it’s clear that no one really gets why there’s all this sudden outrage with China. So I’ll tell you:

We’re all pissed off at China. Not because of Darfur or Tibet. Most people don’t care much about those far-off places, certainly not enough to do all the violence that’s been done to the relays so far. We’re pissed off at China because their competition is causing worldwide inflation, higher prices and lower wages, on top of sending us crappy, filthy, contaminated, shoddy goods that have poisoned our children and our pets, our food and our medicines. The Chinese competition for oil has helped drive up oil prices to the Moon and their cheap goods have destroyed much of our manufacturing, which has put millions of us out of work, not just in the U.S. but all over Europe too.

Damn right we’re pissed off at China and now we have a way to get even, to slap the arrogant bastards in the face. Repeatedly. Until they get the message. This is what’s giving all those average couch potatoes the energy to get out there and protest. Not the genocide, not the oppression.

People aren’t just mad at China, they’re damned scared of her too, and this is one way to poke that big, ugly snake with a stick, from a safe distance.

The Olympics officials are now congratulating themselves and San Francisco for hosting a “successful Olympic torch relay”, according to Xinhua, Chinese propaganda media. Other officials are saying the same, they really do consider that horrible mess to have been a success, after the riots in France and England. Everything is relative, huh?

At this moment I’m watching the utter collapse of the only Olympic torch relay scheduled to be run in the United States. There has been so much protest that the route became shortened and shortened again and now the torch runner is going to stand, on a boat that will sail across at least part of the small remaining route.

To paraphrase that ex-muslim racist, “Rev.” Wright, this is Chinas chickens coming home to roost. After poisoning our infant children with tainted toys, killing our pets with poisoned pet food, and killing our sick with poisoned drugs, after killing tens of millions of people as the worst conductors of genocide the world has ever seen, it’s long past time we the people of this planet pushed aside the false-hearted demands of our greedy, lying governments and spoke out against oppression and evil.

This may not last long and the protests might fade away by the time the Olympics actually starts, without achieving a thing for Darfur or Tibet. Or it might swell and grow. Only time will tell. But the protests in Europe and here have made Chinas true nature very clear to everyone. No one has an excuse now to claim ignorance, and that’s a victory for freedom.

Still watching… Looks like 1 man, 1 woman runners holding the torch and obviously very confused as a phalanx of motorcycle cops forms up on either side of them to form a protective wall from the public… What has the Olympics come to, that it’s devolved into such a mess of hostility and confusion?

No boat after all, enormous police protection, no sign of the 30 Chinese blue-suited thugs but some Chinese “officials” are mixed into the crowd around the runners…. who are walking slowly… just traded off the torch to a new couple who are still walking slowly, behind a big truck full of security people…. the whole route has been changed as well as shortened because of so much anger toward China.

The world wonders with me how the Olympic committee could have made such a politically obtuse decision as to allow China to be the nost.

Okay, NOT a truck, it’s an amphibious vehicle that they’re behind, a duckboat. The boat thing was a ruse to throw people off while they changed to a secret route. San Francisco being what it is though, the news got out and the new street was swarmed within 5 minutes.

A secret route for the torch relay! No one has run with the torch. So much for “runners”. 1000’s of cops, packing the streets, almost more cops than onlookers. Great start for the 2008 Olympics, hey? I can hardly wait for what comes next.

The chief of U.N. humanitarian operations, John Holmes, said Tuesday that poor people around the world are facing worsening hardship because of the expense of food. He said food prices had risen an average of 40 percent over the last year.

“The security implications should also not be underestimated as food riots are already being reported across the globe,” Holmes said during a conference in Dubai. “Compounding the challenges of climate change in what some have labeled the perfect storm are the recent dramatic trends in soaring food and fuel prices.”

MAHALLA EL-KOBRA, Egypt (AP) — “Egypt rushed Tuesday to grant bonuses to workers after two days of deadly riots over high food prices and low wages wracked this northern industrial city, fueling government fears that economic angst might boil over across the country. Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif hurried to Mahalla al-Kobra on Tuesday with several top economic ministers to meet with workers at the 50-year-old, state-owned Misr Spinning and Weaving factory complex that employs 25,000 people and announced they would receive a bonus of 30 days’ pay and promised to address their demands for better health care and higher wages.

30 days pay is $34. The average Egyptian worker is desperately poor and is the head of a family of 5. Food prices have risen 40% in Egypt and world-wide over the past year. You can’t afford tires on a bicycle on $34 a month.

A top United Nations official warned that many poor nations are in danger of such unrest as inflation heats up around the globe.

Unrest? You mean food riots that sweep away entire governments? Open warfare between government soldiers and police, and the population at large? Widespread famine, and the raging disease epidemics that go with it? The return of Bubonic Plague to Africa, plus Cholera and Dysentery and God knows what other filth-borne, insect-borne, rat-carried diseases?

I’d posted on this looming future sometime ago, maybe a year or more, I forget now. It was easy to see it coming then and now everybody gets it.

This isn’t entirely due to population increases or changing global weather conditions. In fact their contribution is small and not very significant. The shortage of food is due mostly to its rising cost combined with the switch of millions of farm acres to methanol production, and hoarding.

The huge increase in oil from $20 a barrel to $108 currently drives up food production costs. Much of the fertilizer is a byproduct of petroleum. The farm machines run on it, the food is harvested and transported and packaged and preserved using petroleum products.

Food producers, rice, wheat, corn and soy, are hoarding these products against higher prices as the market futures spiral up, thus creating an additional shortage.

This level of greed is foolish and these people are going to lose it all when the starving population rips open their doors and carries off the bags of grain, leaving a lot of dead bodies behind who will never run this business again. That means no more food distribution at all, which means a rapid increase in mass starvation and no nation will step in to help.

Why not? Because there will simply be too much of it going on to cope with. The price of oil needs to come down to no more than $50 a barrel immediately. Fat chance in Hell. The corn/methanol farmers need to switch back to food corn. A lot of them are, in fact, doing this and others are switching over to soy beans, an excellent food source, and the hoarders need to open up their warehouses and start selling their stock at fair prices. Unlikely but who knows, after the first few warehouse raids, perhaps the rest will wake up.

Otherwise, those hoofbeats are going to get awful loud. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. War, Famine, Plague and Death are on the road now and now, anyone can see it.

This is barely being reported on the MSM and yet it’s developing into a major clash. The recent Arab summit in Damascus was a flop and left Syria with a lot of anger and embarrassment. The Israelis have openly admitted to bombing that mystery installation in Syria for being a nuclear bomb assembly factory set up by the North Koreans. This ruination of their plans has naturally outraged the Syrians.

At the same time, many Arab states are exasperated with Syria for their continued support of Hizbollah in Lebanon and their efforts to control that country. The other Arab states want Lebanon left alone. To make this point, few of them sent representatives to the summit and most of those were low-level people, which also was a major insult to Syria.

The Saudis and other Arab nations are literally scared to death of Iran having the A-Bomb and now the USS Abraham Lincoln Strike Force is heading for the Persian Gulf, to join up with nuclear submarines already there. The US has recently positioned an array of Aegis destroyers, which excel in ballistic missile defense, close to its Persian Gulf allies and Israel, ready to intercept Iranian and Syrian missiles.

This while Israel has begun its largest ever emergency response drill this week, “to help authorities assess Israel’s preparedness in dealing with national emergencies — particularly in the event of multiple chemical or conventional missile attacks.”

The Syrians have now concentrated two armored divisions and one mechanized division along their border with Lebanon. The estimate is more than 25,000 Syrian troops, more than 500 main battle tanks and even more armored infantry fighting vehicles. “The Arab League summit hosted by Damascus in late March exposed Syria’s regional isolation. Syria has been hitting walls left and right in its attempt to restore its sole powerbroker status in neighboring Lebanon”, and is attempting to do this through aggression.

Israel has just reissued gas masks to its population.

The fighting in Basra, Iraq between our troops and al Sadrs militia has renewed with a vengeance. Al Sadr is an ally of Iran. If he can be taken out or at least mostly subdued, he won’t be able to help topple Iraq in the event of war with Iran. Meanwhile, the Drums of War with Iran are beating a lot louder lately.

Saudi Arabia is making preparations to deal with nuclear fallout from attacks on the Iranian nuclear installations. They have also agreed to reduce the price of oil AND to increase production if the need arises, which it will if Iran is attacked. Dick Cheney has been criss-crossing the Middle East pushing for war with Iran. George Bush has only 9 months left to rescue the legacy of his presidency from the mire.

It is historically true that when our nation prepares for war, we, the public, are the last ones to know about it. At the NATO summit, Bush, Putin and the other national leaders were all uncharacteristically chummy. Very uncharacteristically. All the harsh Russian rhetoric and accusations were gone, everything was suddenly sunny and bright and agreeable. Clearly, a consensus had been reached that we haven’t been made aware of.

While that last may seem non-evidential of anything specific, it is indicative of major policy changes. Don’t forget that it’s the Russians who have been helping Iran build their reactors as well as supplying them with the fuel. Now the Chinese have changed their minds about the Iranian nuclear program and are speaking out against it. Russia and China are in greater diplomatic accord lately than ever, and Russia has benefited hugely from Bush’s presidency. Under Bush the price of oil has gone from $20 a barrel to over $100, and this is what has propelled the Russian economy back to its old glory days.

All these back-fence deals between nations, and all the troop movements, sure look like it’s all heading to a show-down with Iran. The only question is which one will blink first, the U.S., Iran, Syria or Israel? The stage is set and waits only for the beginning of the first act.
